Sport & Soccer is a great shop if you want to buy branded sportswear at a reasonable price.

They sell a huge variety of tops, jumpers, tracksuit bottoms, trainers, footballs, bags, golf equipment, roller blades, hats, ski boots, and pretty much any other kind of sportswear in between.

All of their goods are BRAND NEW and the latest (as in current style/current football strips/England shirts/trainers). They seem to buy in bulk, so they can offer very competitive prices, and as such, their prices are significantly less than in other sports shops such as JJB.

Quite a large part of their stock consists of Donnay, or Umbro. And it is these makes that you can pick up really cheaply. T-Shirts for under £10 for men and women, and this range is especially good for young kids, as they are less style-conscious! I recently picked up a Umbro T-shirt for my toddler for £1 and some matching shorts for the same price. The quality is really good - they haven't fallen apart or run in the wash.

In addition to Donnay and Umbro, they stock Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Lonsdale, Puma, Fila. They have a huge selection of trainers; male/female/kids/babies and all a lot cheaper than the exact same shoe in sports shops up the road.

They quite often have half price sales, and these are definately worth a look, as you can get some fantastic bargains.

The stores do tend to get extremely busy and packed at the weekends, but if you are brave enough to fight your way through the crowds, there are usually a lot of staff hanging about who will grudgingly provide you with assistance. The staff have walky-talkies and if you ask them to get you a pair of trainers, they call their colleagues in the storeroom and they get them down for you, usually via a chute near the cash register. As for the tills themselves, they normally have 3 or 4 people on at a time, so it does move fairly quickly.

I think that the clothes and trainers that you get from here are excellent value for money, the layout is accesible if you avoid the boxes of trainers stacked up all over the place, and they will give you a refund if you keep your receipt!

Definately worth a visit in my opinion.... maybe on a Sunday or weekday when it's not so packed out!
