Suzuki SV650(s) : Simply..a damn good bike

Advantages: Light, economical, easy to ride and fun. Comfortable too.
Disadvantages: Sound with standard can! Niggly quality issues..

...be sure to apply some Suzuki bond around the join to be sure it won't happen again, along with a new o-ring. Other than that it's a very durable engine and lasts forever, just keep it serviced ETC ETC. Practicality Fuel range is anything between 110 and 220 miles depending on how you ride it. I rode the bike back from Harrogate in Yorkshire to Thatcham in Berkshire and I was scared about my fuel. I had done 155 miles according to the trip computer, ...
...it's a bike that everyman can enjoy. From newbie to seasoned pro! Although in true Suzuki style, the laquer on the forks peels and then you have to spend 2 weekends with a scrounger and a polishing cloth/polish to fix it. Only for it to happen again next winter. ...

Bandito Pocito 96 600 S

Advantages: Do it all rounder
Disadvantages: Needs tuning and suspension mods to fulfil potential

Well, never wrote a review before so here goes: been riding for over 40 years, 1% outlaw, dirt, street, trials, motocross so been there and want to buy the T-shirt. the Bandit I now live with was bought to fix and flog. then I fell in love with a great do-it-all bike. 96 600S. Change the spings, add good Metzler rubber, re-jet the carbs and add a Holeshot can = Rock n' Roll for not much cash. Gotta love this concept: one bike to live with for a ...
...plenty of character to tour, to cruise or get groceries or surprize crotch rockets in the corners. I fix and sell bikes and this one is super easy to fix or tune and gives a great bang for your buck, now I understand why the long run of popularity. Will be keeping this one. ...

The best all round Sport Cruiser

Advantages: reliable, great power ,very nimble ,durable
Disadvantages: suspension a little soft, fairings buzzy

...I've owned this series of Suzuki since the old 1985 gs750es and it is by far one of the most dependable motorcycles on the market. With all the years this motor combo has bean around up grading it is cheap and proven results are easy to get. As a great all round sport cruiser there is really isn't any thing close in it's price range and for me any price range. The only improvement I would request from Suzuki would be a slightly firmer suspension ...
...is corrected by put a Busa rear shock in it and replacing the springs in the front with the progressive style. If you purchase the 1200s you might find the fairing a little buzzy but this is easily fixed if it bugs you. The 1200 is too much for beginners but start on the 650 and then move up to the 1200 and you won't look back. I've owned Honda, Yamaha, and Kawi's and although they were o.k. this bike really is the best across the board. So if you ...

Owners review of the much loved Suzuki GS500e

Advantages: Reliable, cheap, does exactly what it says on the tin! and has masses of fun!
Disadvantages: uncomfortable long distance touring for taller people!

This bike has been my angel on wheels over the past 10-11 months! it really is as good as people say, and more!!! i have had numerous people say to me that they are bullet proof, will do in excess of 60-80k miles, and mine hasnt once let me down! considering mine is a 95 N reg GS500e, it is in excellent condition, and for around £1000 you get a whole lot of reliability and masses of fun!!! it corners like a dream! left knee down to right knee down ...
...sportsbike trainer and pre 21yrs old sports bike if it is restricted to 33bhp (for about £100)!!! i have the unrestricted 50bhp version, bought it with 24k miles on the clock, and N reg... for £1000 exactly.... it was advertised for £1200... but with a bit of cheek i had this reduced.... and i have never ever regretted the buy ever! and i expect you could get the same bike cheaper elsewhere, but i had a lot of extra's and 12 month warranty added ...

TeaPot zzzzzzz But does the job

Advantages: Comfy, Good Tank Range
Disadvantages: Dull, Heavy, zzzzzz

I used to ride this bike for two years for a 50 mile round trip (commuting to work) 5 days a week, come rain or shine. Its not an exciting sports bike by any stretch of the imagination. Its also not a new riders dream bike either as the brakes are not full on and feel like they are charity workers at a weekend bring and buy sale (they want to do the job but wont put 100% effort in). It got me from Home to Work without any problems, but without any ...
...from one place to another with no fuss then this could be worth a look. If your looking for even a litttle bit of excitement look elsewhere. The fuel tank holds about 18/19 litres and riding sensibly (the only thing you can do) you get on average about 40-42 miles per gallon. So you do get a real world tank range of over 150 miles, which is quite good. The GSX600-F may have a slight sports bike look but the seating position is very comfortable as ...
