THE SOFA THAT WILL STOP AT NOTHING
Advantages: All in opinion Disadvantages: All in opinion
...prime example is the latest Reebok advert – When you first see this advert there is no indication that it is about Reebok trainers until the very end. This original and clever advert quickly induces its target audience into excitement and interest. The setting takes place in a small room – a young man seated on a sofa watching the TV. The young man then decides to go for his sports bag and walks towards the door.
But he soon finds out that he cannot ... ...Compared to the last Reebok advert “your bellies gonna getcha” – “Escape the sofa” is better in every way. Although the concept is the same where by in the old advert the man is being haunted, chased and stalked by this big beer belly and in this latest Reebok ad the man is being attacked and chased by this hungry, mean living sofa. Still there is no comparison – “Escape the sofa” is a great advertising idea – keeping the viewer focused and drawn ...

Another football advert?
Advantages: fun Disadvantages: beckham
...fever, David Beckham stars wearing Adidas boots. The advert appears to be set in Amsterdam, where thousands of footballs have mysteriously been left in the main square. Passers-by start to kick them around and a good time is had by all. Suddenly David Beckham arrives and hits a characteristic long ball on a boat on the canal. A man on the boat tries to save it and ends up falling on the water. As with most of the major sports brands, the idea is ...

A classy well produced ad
Advantages: Clear message, well produced Disadvantages: not enough product info
Despite what i have come to know about nikes prices this advert really hit the spot for me. With football as fashionable as it is now it was a good move to use 'cool' players to advertise the brand. The concentration on a mission rather than on the product itself was a minor flaw but it gave the message that will appeal to the majority of perspective buyers. By giving the impression that these are cool and will give you the flair and panache that ...

The funniest advert on TV
Advantages: very funny Disadvantages: doesn't really tell you anything about the shoes
...Escape your Settee.
The actor seems quite good at the part, and when the sofa begins to pull him across the floor back into the flat, only for him to wriggle out of his pants, is hilarious. Wouldn't make me go out and buy Reebok trainers though. ...

The most irritating thing on TV
Advantages: None Disadvantages: It's terrible
...write an opinion for the Reebok advert, you know the one with the hideous belly chasing a man through the streets and shopping centres. What an absolutely awful TV ad. The first time I watched it, it made me feel sick, and I probably would have been if it hadn’t have been for the song that accompanies the ad, what on earth is that? Now I know that I’m getting on a bit but that music (If you can call it that) is dreadful!
What were Reebok ... ...and healthy but there are far better ways of getting the point across it I’m sure. In short, this ad is terrible and ok it may be aimed at younger people but still it doesn’t make good TV. Maybe I’m too old for that sort of thing, the product is aimed at people a third my age so maybe that why I don’t get it. ...
