    Advantages Advantages Get's rid of spyware, is free, updates often available

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Once again, doesn't find what other spyware scanners do. Price to upgrade.

    Spyware Doctor is another free spyware program on offer that claims to rid your PC of vicious spyware, malware and certain Trojans. The claims are true and this program has become part of my spyware removal tool kit! Vicious program are becoming more and more sophisticated, that latest versions that install to your hard drive include key loggers that can keep track of all the keys you press.     As designed by PC Tools, Spyware Doctor is truly a unique program offering the user real-time virus, spyware and scam protection while also continually scanning and updating to prevent the aforementioned infections. I purchased my copy directly of PC Tools' website for $39.95 (£19.87). This package included Spyware Doctor for Windows and an optional $10 upgrade to a version with virus protection as well.     I just got Spyware Doctor from http://www.pctools.com. From my point of view, it is a very good anti-virus software for personal use. However, it is not absolutely free. It is free to download, to scan but not free to remove virus. ***Easy to get your doctor ready*** 1.     This is an excellent efficient and very handy piece of software which is currently available free as part of the Google pack. PC Tools is becoming a much more efficient and reliable company name in my experience and opinion. Spyware and adware are everywhere these days and it's an even bigger problem than viruses, which is why you need to have an efficient reliable and stable spyware remover to deal with it effectively. I'm pretty sure that PC Tools used to offer a free and a paid version of this program and I think that the free download as part of the Google pack is actually the paid version ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Can freeze, may take a long time if on full scan mode

    Very good spyware removal but it does cost its not freeware it is worth it tho. It finds things other software doesnt and provide infomation on what they are it allows a quick removal of unwanted spyware etc. Very easy to use has a great interface with daily updates. This program can tend to freeze up you pc a bit if you are running alot of programs with it but thats probs dues to hardware not any bugs in software. This program is created by Pc tools and is well worth the money i would reccomend to anyone looking for a really good easy to use program that will simply do the job and wont mess ... more
