A green dream?
Advantages no packaging, smell when dry, good to carry around (in a container), good for environment
Disadvantages smell when wet, did nothing special to my hair, doesn't lather up very well compared to other bars
I have been wanting to try this bar for ages, as it looks so wonderfully natural and the ingredients make it look like a very "green" and healthy shampoo both for the scalp and hair.
I asked if it will work for my easily greasy hair and damaged lengths and the Lush assistant gave me the thumbs up (I was willing to try another bar I hadn't tried yet if I was recommended otherwise), so smelling the beautiful fresh grass/ retro soap aroma, I quickly made up my mind and knew I had to try it.
It doesn't lather up well at all, compared to Jumping Juniper, Seanik and New bars. Needs a lot or rubbing on hair to produce sufficient lather.
The shampoo itself does quite a good job of cleaning hair but not over-cleaning and thankfully doesn't leave a bad smell on the hair! I have to wash my hair every day (looks greasy after 12 hours) if I use this.Alas, the cleansing property is about the only good property I have found with this bar, even then it only lasts about half a day, apart from the fact that it doesn't need packaging and so is good for the environment.
It doesn't soften, condition or add much shine to my hair, although it doesn't irritate my scalp like some other shampoos. I do need to wash my hair every day using my shampoo -I could probably get away with using a bit of dry shampoo if I wanted to. As a result, I have to use a heavy conditioner or hair mask afterwards (Veganese is not enough with this). An disappointing shampoo for lovers of the environment, don't expect miracles if you have my hair type, with the added advantage of being easy to carry around (in something) due to its light weight!

Thank you! It lathers about as well as a regular shampoo-I have to put it on the front and then the back of my head if that makes sense? In the UK, it costs 5 pounds.

Nice review but how well does it lather and how much does it cost?

Actually, now I've used it some more, I can safely say it doesn't lather up very well-much worse compared to Seanik, New and Jumping Juniper! You need to rub and rub and rub on your hair to produce the sufficient lather :(
