"Ideal For Beginners, Yet Not For Pros"

I first got my Squier P-Bass almost two years ago and I still play it today. It has been through many injuries fromt that day but I can still get some nice sound out of her. What lets this bass down is the fact its cheap production means some components are cheaply made. For example the tone and volume knobs fell off within weeks of purchase. The actual sound of the bass is good for the price (with one of my friends commenting it sounded better than his Fender Mexican P-Bass). The electronics seems stable at first but the jack let me down. When jamming my guitarist stood on my jacklead and it ripped the jack from the guitar, snapping the sratchplate. This had to be fixed by me and I was forced to re-solder many componenets of the circuitry.
