I have owned the p-special for about 1 year now. One of the main advantage this bass has is it’s relative cheapness. I picked mine out right out of the manufacturer’s packaging (in other words brand new) for £200. There may be instruments that are cheaper, but the quality of the instrument outweighs the cost. Being a sub-company of Fender, You can imagine that it is of a reasonable quality. You’d be more or less right. The pickups are of good quality (both precision and the jazz).
