Ssangyong Musso

The ssangyong musso is manufactured by the south Korean automobile manufacturer ( SSANG YONG MOTOR COMPANY ). It was first produced in 1993 with Mercedes petrol or diesel engine.

We bought a 1996 2.9 diesel ssangyong musso about six months ago of my husband cousin. The car had the six months test and he assume us that there is not much wrong with the car. He just wont it to sell it or crush it because he was needed spaces for the new car. When we bought the car we have been told that there is diesel lick from the tank and breaks are sticking but my husband got his knowledge about cars and said that nothing, he can fix it. And as well the car been stud on his driveway for last four months when the leak started.
So we bough it -the deal was great only £250.ok!

The car has an enough room for big family (can fit extra two sit in the boot witch will takes the car to seven sweater), big boot, very comfortable. Wood grain dash board, electric windows, mirrors, sunroof, great heater. Good on fuel ( will do 30 to a gallon), the engine is quiet powerful it will cruiser 80mph all day long.
The car is great but when something need it fixing you are in trouble.

As I mention before the car was need it to fix a fuel leak and breaks. So we were trying to price the diesel tank , took us about two weeks to find one and then it cost £120. Then the breaks- my husband manage to free them but there is coming another surprise hand break cable has snapped. And this was a game - we phone up every car parts shop in area and they told us they are not doing the hand break cable for ssangyong musso. We try to find a second hand one - ups there is non, try ebay- non. We been told that some of parts from deawe musso will fit but that was lot of rubbish. we search on the internet and bit of look we find a shop who does ssangyong musso parts and was not to far. So after having a game to just find a break cable it has to be order from Korea and the full hand break cable will cost £160. then the breaks full set cost us £140.
Two weeks passed the exhaust start blowing and that was another £150 second hand.
Just week ago the car passed his mot with no problem.
But two days ago duo to cold weather the car needed set of five glow plugs £40

Do not get me wrong we love that car. Being 12 years old he still has got a lot of life.

The interior space is amazing, with plenty of storage where you need it, apart from tiny door pockets? The seats are very comfy, and it is a pleasure to drive long distance.
