Firsty I should explain why I am calling it St. Moriz/Moritz. I have done so because the company have released two different bottles, each spelt a different way. Basically it is meant to be 'Moritz' but in the new bottles they have left out the 'T'. As to why, I am unaware. I will refer to it during this review as 'moriz' because that is the version that i have.
Anyway, recently, there has been a huge buzz about this product, mainly because it is being called the alternative to 'St. Tropez' which we all know is the top dog in the tanning world. However, St. Tropez can set you back anything between £20-£40 for a 120ml bottle. Having tried St. Tropez products, I can confirm that the mousse is the best tanning product they have produced. Yes, it is a very good product, it smells nice unlike cheap tanners, it doesn't go streaky, it comes out a beautiful, natural colour, basically it is perfect apart from the price. Until recently many people were prepared to pay over £20 to get this product. Now, however, more and more people are starting to discover the wonders of the alternative 'St. Moriz'.
St. Moriz delivers in every aspect that St. Tropez does. It is easy to use, just exfoliate, moisturise and apply. Like St. Tropez, it is an instant tan so you can see where you are putting it so you dont miss anything out yet it still lasts for several days depending on how often you wash etc. When you first apply it, it will come out a light brown colour so you know where you have gone. Then over the next few hours it will develop into a deep, rich, golden tan. Therefore during these hours it is not recommended that you wash. I would suggest having a shower in the morning and using this product afterwards, giving you all day for the tan to develop. Once applied, it takes at most 3 minutes to dry. After those 3 minutes you can get dressed. Another advantage is the smell. Nearly all cheap tanners have that biscuit smell that can be very over powering. Only the expensive tanners seem to have mastered this problem. St. Moriz does give off a slight biscuit smell perhaps for the first hour, but after that it goes completely. Whereas in other tanners you get the smell for the duration of the colour.
The best part of this product is the vaule for money. For what you are getting, you should be paying over £20. However, for a 200ml bottle, you are looking at £2.99 - £5.00. There is no other product on the market that can compete at that price.
Then there is the issue of where to get it. They are £2.99 at Home Bargains. That is the cheapest place to get them. However, I have seen them on Ebay and other websites such as Amazon for around £5.00 which is still, a bargain price. They are pretty easy to get in the UK but not so much in America.
In conclusion, this product works amazingly well and is just as good as all the leading brands, but for much less.
