Big claims then, ST. Is it beautiful in colour? Well, the polish itself is a turquoisey colour which has no big bits in it. Reminiscent of the Riviera? Well I guess it sounds nice, eh?
The texture seems uniform in this scrub which makes me happy because I always get scared by the 'natural' extracts other brands put in which seem to take chunks out of my skin out when I use it.

For all of you who have read my explorations into the world of sunless tanning you will know that thorough exfoliation BEFORE applying any product is essential for a good result. This means that no matter how much you fork out for a fake tan, the result will almost always be dodgy and somewhat streaky.
To help me get the elusive natural tan, without the streaks, I reached for a bottle of St Tropez Body Polish (which is Step 1 in the ST sequence; Step 2 is moisturising, 3 the actual application of the fakie) about 2 years ago when I first tried the ST (St Tropez) range. I got this a part of a set but individually the 240ml bottle retails at about £10 which may seem quite expensive (and certainly more than most high street brands) but this product does last for an extremely long time.
Packaging ************ The packaging is in keeping with the rest of the ST range which means that it is literally a plain white bottle with a black stripe on the front with the infamous ST brand embellished on it. Some may call it plain, I call it classy. As I mentioned earlier, the bottle comes in a 240ml (8 Fl Oz) size.
Appearance and texture *************************** The blurb on the back of the bottle told me good things about this product: 'it is beautiful in colour and scent; the teal blue colour is as rich as the French Riviera.' Apparently. You rub it between your fingers and it feel pleasantly gentle.
Using the product ******************** Onto the nitty gritty therefore. So I'm in my bath thinking of the golden brown me which shall emerge tomorrow. I squeeze a little of the Body Polish onto my palm and start at my wrists working upwards. Hmmm...it feels nice. Not harsh at all. Its now that I notice the smell; its not terribly strong but it smells frshish and also somewhat like kitchen or bathroom cleaner...but don't be afraid-its really not that bad!!
Now, the instructions tell me (and my own knowledge of fake-tanning reminds me) that I need to concentrate on the notoriously difficult areas such as the elbows, ankles and knees where dead skin accumulates and dry skin resides. Do I feel the scrub is working? Is it removing my dead skin as it should be? Honestly, is didn't feel as though it was doing anything. It felt too gentle to be effective. But then I rinsed the Polish off and lo, and behold, my skin was the softest I've felt it to be for a long time. The words 'baby's' and 'bottom' come to mind... ;-)
I dried myself off to admire the softness. Fantastic! Absolutely smooth all over!
As I was using the ST tanning lotion, I applied moisturiser to the elbows, knees and feet and found that the cream absorbed into the skin much more easily.
Did my tan end up streaky? ****************************** For all you cynics out there and all you evil-wishers reading this, I'm afraid I will have to disappoint you. My tan was completely streak-free and I'm convinced the Body Polish really helped achieved the natural sun-kissed look.
Do I need to use this exclusively with the rest of the ST range (or is ************************************************************************ it another pocket-lining gimmick?) *************************************
In a word, NO! This works well as a pre-fake-tanning treatment for all products be it ST or L'oreal or good ol' Coppertone!! It does make any fake-tan look a lot less so and I think its an essential buy for you tanorexics out there. Even those who don't fake-it so to speak, can benefit from this product as it will leave anyone's skin supersmooth.
If you have fake tan on already this will also help a more natural fading so use it every 3 days for best results (and to keep the odd-looking lizard skin at bay!)
****************** Buy it, buy it, buy it! Its fab and is buy far the best body scrub I've ever tried!! Yes it might cost slightly more than what you'd usually buy but it will last you longer and give you much better results!!
Advantages: Nice smell, good product Disadvantages: slightly overpriced
...3 stages to applying the St. Tropez tan itself. For optimum and the most natural looking tan it really is essential to follow all 3 stages. The first is exfoliate, second moisturise and third is to tan it up! You really cannot blame the product for not being perfect, if you don’t follow the instructions. You wouldn’t ignore cooking instructions, or safety instructions, consider this the same.

Advantages: Great body scrub Disadvantages: More expensive than other brands
It's that time of year again...lots of parties requiring strappy frocks and sandals. EEK!! Frightening-it also sadly is the time of year when I should NOT show my white body. Sad fact is, the last time it saw sunlight was August.
However, am I dismayed? Not a bit of it because I am a St Tropez convert. Whereas once upon a time it would have been the sunbeds, three years ago, I had my first professionally applied S.T. tan and was hooked. Now I am ... ...WHAT DO YOU DO?
There are 3 stages to applying the S.T. tan and yes, the best, most natural looking tan is achieved if you follow all 3 stages. The first is exfoliate, second moisturise and third is to fake it!
PACKAGING
This comes in a white bottle with the St Tropez logo in a stripe on the front- simple but effective packaging. It has a flip lid which means that you can squeeze as much out as you want and so you can minimise waste; the top also ...

Advantages: Beautiful colour, smell, results...! Disadvantages: bit expensive...
I'm so impressed with this product. it's actually the best in the business. I have used radox, imperial leather, boots organics... all those brands.. then onto the mid-range brands like Simple, Sanctuary etc.. and yeah, the higher the price, the nicer the product, but not always the better. Often these products can be around 10 or 12 pounds. Why not give it the extra 3 quid and splash out on St Tropez Body Polisher? It's good enough for the beauty ... ...is why:
I love the feel of it on my skin as it is never runny, it's never too thick and it doesn't clog the nozzle. It doesn't hurt my skin and it smells extravagant and luxurious. The colour is divine and the results are spectacular. I could not recommend this more to you - buy the St Tropez Body Polisher.
Boots sells this charming lotion at 15 pounds a bottle... steep, but trust me St Tropez is the absolute leader here, and fifteen pounds is ...

Advantages: Baby soft skin Disadvantages: It runs out pretty quickly
There are three steps to the St Tropez tanning system; the Body Polisher is Step 1.
The Body Polisher is an exfoliator, which you need to use as the first step of your self-tanning adventure. It comes in a jazzy black and white bottle with the name St Tropez running down it. The polish itself is a turquoise, extremely thick lotion with round beads which will remove any dead skin from the surface leaving a smooth base ready for tanning. The beads ... ...feeling that you get from some exfoliators and the frangrance of the product is quite light and refreshing. I love the smell! To use it you need make sure you have wet skin, then simply massage away in a smooth, circular motion. Make sure you pay particular attention to areas such as your feet, elbows and knees, as obviously these areas of your skin are driest. In a salon sponges would be used to remove the polish but when doing this at home it's ...

I purchased the St Tropez trial pack kit. I did not think much of the tan as it came out greenish first of all, but after a second application it looked a little better colour, but still not what I was looking for.
Anyway, I loved the body polish the first time I used it. It has a lovely blue colouring with exfoliating beads in, and a pleasant fragrance.
It left my skin feeling silky smooth, and improved my complexion. Although I do not use St ...

StTropezBodyPolisher......
I thought it about time I review one of my favourite beauty products. I have previously reviewed the StTropez as a self tanner but it wasn't until recently that I used the polisher that goes along with the self tanner and I found this to be very effective and a must if you are using a self tan.
The StTropezbodypolisher is sold within the kits of StTropez Self Tanning Systems and depending on the size the prices can range from around £25 from the smaller kits to £60 for the larger kits. The bodypolisher can be bought separately too for a price of around £15 for the larger sized bottle of 240ml.
The design of the bodypolisher bottle is much the same as the StTropez tanning cream and moisturiser in the fact that it has a simple white bottle with black lettering and a turquoise edged ...
Advantages: Will give you a dark tan, if that is what you are after. Disadvantages: Can be too dark for some. Not exactly 'foolproof'. Price.
for £19.99, although I then noticed it somewhere else for cheaper so my advice is to look around to get yourself the best deal. The fake tan comes in a thick, white plastic bottle, with a pump action nozzle to make things easier for you.
= To Apply =
This is the directions given on the back of the bottle.
"Step 3: Smooth StTropez Auto-Bronzant evenly onto skin; let it absorb - do not over-rub. For best results apply at bedtime and shower next morning. May appear streaky as product dries - this is normal and showering in morning will uncover a beautiful, even tan. To deepen tan, apply 3 nights consecutively. For a lighter tan, blend to desired shade ONLY with StTropezBody Moisturiser. To maintain your colour, apply 1 to 3 times weekly. To maintain your tan, moisturise daily and use StTropezBodyPolisher every ...

up with StTropezbodypolisher (step 1) and StTropezbody moisturizer (step 2) but I find that StTropez whipped bronze instant tan mousse works equally as well if you use your own exfoliants and moisturizer.
I prepared my skin before use by using an exfoliating body wash to slough off any dead skin that was lurking around and I was armed with a bottle of moisturizer in case it was needed. I never wore gloves to apply the mousse even though you are advised to but that is ok as it washes off fairly easy anyway as long as you wash your hands immediately after the application. I squeezed a golf ball sized amount into my hand and applied to my legs, as I mentioned before the mousse is blue and when you apply it to your skin it gives you a great idea of where you have missed, I continued to apply the mousse to all other areas of my body ...
