Pentax Optio M20

Advantages: Good range of features.
Disadvantages: None that I have discovered yet.

I bought this camera about 6months ago at a discounted price. I find it has a lot of features and the quality of the pictures very acceptable. I particularly like the good sized screen which makes reviewing the pics easy and practical. Comparing this with my last digital camera which was a Konica Revio KD-400z I find the Optio M20 a big step up in terms of functionality. I also like the ability to resize a picture after the shot which means you can effectively increase the zoom capbility. I have used this to snap a ship on the horizon at full zoom and then using the trimming function retake which brought the ship into much closer view. However at this point clarity was compromised as expected. Altogether a very acceptable camera for my needs. ...

Stagg Chilli, an enema in a can!!

Advantages: Tates great, fairly cheap and cooks in minutes
Disadvantages: Can be painful the day after

Stagg Chilli is without a doubt the single greatest thing I have ever eaten from a can. Nothing else can ever compare to the glorious taste sensation that is Stagg Chilli dynamite hot. The classic Stagg Chilli is more or less the same, but is more suited to people that fear spicy foods and don't appreciate the subtle burning sensation that hot food gives you. I would recommend both varieties, but in my honest opinion the dynamite hot is infinitely better and should only be avoided if you feel you cannot handle extreme spiciness. Eating a bowl of the dynamite hot chilli will inevitably cause your nose to run uncontrollably, will have you running back and forth to the tap and will almost certainly leave you with a sting ring the next day. But goddamn it's worth it!! My friend is a big fan of the chilli, but finds that it disagrees ...

Playing my electric Mandoline

Advantages: No more grated knuckles
Disadvantages: None I have found

and a French Fry (chip) blade. These blades fit into a frame (one at a time, of course) which in turn fits in the top of the box - and you're ready to go! I have found no problems at all with this slicer/grater and it is certainly much quicker and easier than doing it all by hand - and, thinking about it , much more hygienic with no grated knuckles included! Making salads - as I already knew - became SO much cheaper and included all the things I liked and I knew were fresh. I'm sure I can't be the only one, for instance, who bought a ready-made salad only to find that the grated carrot was more like coloured string and almost totally inedible. The guinea pigs I used to have would have appreciated it but, as it was, it often finished up in the compost heap. The Mandoline is completely dishwasher safe - of course, with the exception ...
