Reviews of Standard Cameras (35mm) »
the best camera i ever brought.
Advantages: has a lock system so you don't take pictures in your bag. Disadvantages: none as far as i'm concerned
I'm studying photography as a degree and this camera has been with me throughout my photogrpahy experience. I have had other cameras but this one is by far the best. My Course leader recomendes this camera to new students which means it can't be bad. it is a great learning camera and a good professional camera. A bit heavyier than most of the new cameras. But this has the classic wind feature that most modern cameras don't have. It is a totally manual ...

Advantages: Other than white lines,,is good Disadvantages: Looks like this one have light getting on film
This is a good camera but since new, my camera prints come with white streaks that looks like light is getting inside the film. The camera is completly close but i decide to stop using it. Do you beleive a sealing gasket is missing in my camera?

SNAP UP A BARGAIN
Advantages: useful zoom length, ease of use, fast flash recharging, great range of features, quality lens, Disadvantages: not much - excellent all round
...in the UK as the Canon z115. It also has – or had – a ‘big brother’ the z135, the main difference being just a slightly longer top end built-in zoom lens.
Most ‘enthusiast’ photographers still find the need to have a lightweight, point-and-shoot camera in their pockets for odd moments that happen. When I am not working, I won’t be carrying around all my pro gear – two SLR bodies, Several lenses, flashgun etc. So a hobbyist/enthusiast has no need ... ...the z115 has an excellent Canon lens and that speak volumes in itself. Canon have been making professional standard cameras and lenses for many, many years. Their optics are amongst the very best around and the lens is a VERY Important part of any camera. I, for one, would probably look for a specialist camera maker first if I was searching for any kind of photographic package, be it digital, APS or 35mm. An electronics company - like Samsung - who ...

My first proper camera...
Advantages: A great price, good camera for those just starting out Disadvantages: Scratches easily, features not very advanced for more experienced photographers
...better…) I settled for the Canon SureShot AF-7s.
◄Design / Appearance►
The camera is very compact, and not too heavy to carry around with you. It is a very smart and attractive design, with a white-gold metallic finish. One thing I have found with this camera however, is that it is very prone to scratches and minor markings on the outer case due to the material it is made from. Having said that, it's really not a great problem so long ... ...disrupt the functionality of the camera itself.
◄Ease of Use►
Over the past year, I have found this camera increasingly easy to use. The buttons are clear and easy to understand, and it really didn't take me very long to be able to use with confidence all the different features which the camera has to offer. The on/off switch is very large for increased ease of use.
The changing of films and batteries is also very simple, and the mechanisms ...

A sure bet
Advantages: Easy to use, great pics, great value for money Disadvantages: Slightly chunkier than some similar cameras
General:
This camera is an upgrade from your cheap point and shoot, but doesn't require a photgraphy A-level. This would suit you if you just want good, reliable holiday / event shots, including maybe some "arty" shots of sunsets, scenery etc. It might also suit experienced, skilled photographers who want a second, smaller camera. Appearance and durability:
It's not the tiniest, lightest camera around, or the sexiest looking. It is however reasonably ... ...to stick in your bag (unless you go for very minimalist handbags) when travelling, or to take to a party or event. It comes with a case. I'd say it is reasonably durable so far, as it's survived high temperatures and a few knocks on my recent holiday!
The change from APS: Some of you may be hardened APS addicts, like me - I've been APS for 5 years and thought I would never go back. I'm one of those disaster prone people who is sure to ruin a film ...
