Still prefer it to my digi in 2008!
Advantages: Lens is tack sharp, Focus is fast and acurate. Disadvantages: Would be nice to have more control, It is 100% auto 100% of the time.
When I say unsurpassed, I mean by digital cameras of the same or similar size.

Advantages: Size, lens quality, features, price, waterproof, sturdy Disadvantages: none
Basically, anyone wanting the best compact 35mm Camera you can buy (image quality & size) for under £150...believe me when I say 'don't look at any other Camera than this one!!!
