Its about 5m long and is black if that is any help.
It lets you connect a video driver to the video driver on your computer through the video driver or USB
Heres the spec on it, im not really a technical person so Im not sure how this helps:

Advantages: 5 component to one, 360 matching design Disadvantages: No HDMI, No Wii Support
...believe the Joytech site is having a special on this at the moment. Also anther bad point is Nintendo Wii will not work through component for some reason meaning you have to use composite or connect separately but that defeats the object. And also no support for coaxial digital connections and using the composite for this does not work as the feedback causes loud humming noises.
I must also point out that for a little more you could get one that also includes HDMI from the same company and it is designed with more home setup than gaming in mind.
The device can support resolutions of up to 1080i via component.
