...I had to transfer some old VHS into DVD for convenience so I did browse the internet looking for something really good yet easy to use and most important not expensive. I found a lot of very good reviews about this product, so I decided to give it a go and bought one, well I have to say that it works beautifully, the manual is very clear, the installation was a breeze, the software bundled is very useful and whilst I'm writing the device is currently helping me to transfer my 10th tape and counting... The video output is surprisingly good in particular using the composite input, I checked with "graphedit" the directshow codecs used and they are the one provided by the bundled software, however because the device is a WDM compliant device you can use any capture software that will convert to MPEG2 with better codecs, again this is just... Advantages: Clear results

...O.K if you are a mac owner you basically have to own one of these. Basically what it is is it enables you to view your mac book or mac on a TV or projector. All you have to do is plug it into you mac attach the dvi lead then plug it into your TV. I found it really easy to use as it is simple enough to work out. Also if you don't know how it works there is a great instruction booklet that comes with it. The adapter give crystal clear results on your TV and it is worth investing in. Advantages: Far better picture than standard composite, better looking games
Disadvantages: Expensive, Only needed for larger screens 32" or greater

...future releases should push the hardware far more the the original releases. Gamecube games looked clearer - I tested Star Wars Lego 2, Metriod Prime 2 and with Mario Kart. Mario64 on the virtual console was far better looking an looked really good in 480p. The game looks far better than the original N64 release due to the cleaner cleared visuals and increased definition. The burning question for Wii owners is do I need a component cable? Am I glad I got the Component Cable? Is it value for money? Well I can say yes, The Wii looks great on the TV and I was astounded by the improvement in clarity and colours. Was it worth £22? Well as my TV cost more that thousand pounds £22 is probably justified. What about us you cry? Well follow these principles: Have I got Component Video inputs on my TV? Is my screen 32" or larger...
