Xbox 360 network adapter, to buy or not?

Advantages: makes connecting to live wireless
Disadvantages: very high price

i bought this for £50 second hand, and i found it very easy to use and it connected to my modem in minutes, but i know not everyone connects it as easy as i did, infact i couldnt connect it to my old router when i first got an xbox 360, so then i went for the ethernet cable method which is ideal if the router is in the same room as the xbox 360 because its much cheaper, gauranteed to work and normally makes connection better, but in my case i had a 30m ethernet cable running down my stairs which is not ideal! therefore when i bought my xbox 360 back i wanted to get it sorted with the network adapter. StarTech S-VIDEO to USB 2.0 capture cable

Advantages: Small, cheap, does what it says on the box
Disadvantages: none

I had to transfer some old VHS into DVD for convenience so I did browse the internet looking for something really good yet easy to use and most important not expensive. I found a lot of very good reviews about this product, so I decided to give it a go and bought one, well I have to say that it works beautifully, the manual is very clear, the installation was a breeze, the software bundled is very useful and whilst I'm writing the device is currently helping me to transfer my 10th tape and counting... The video output is surprisingly good in particular using the composite input, I checked with "graphedit" the directshow codecs used and they are the one provided by the bundled software, however because the device is a WDM compliant device you can use any capture software that will convert to MPEG2 with better codecs, again this is just ...

Xbox 360 wireless adapter

The xbox 360 wireless adapter is essentially, exactly what it says on the tine, it is only required as a neccesity to get onto xbox live in a place usin a wireless network, microsfot have seized on this opportunity to charge over the odds for a small piece of plastic , retailing in the region of £60 , especially when you consider the nintendo Wii has a wireless adapter built in. As a product, the adapter is easy to install, clipping onto the back of the console, reliable and discreet, offering flawless online gameplay as if it were connected via ethernet cable.
