. The drivers are in a set up file in the driver?s directory, which you need to run before installing the card. Once the set up file was ran and the computer was restarted then there were no problems with installing the card and windows automatically located the drivers. It was a pity that the manual was not clearer about this. Since installation I have had absolutely no problems running both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 devices and I have to say that I have seen no noticeable change in speed between the 2 standards. So apart from the slight installation hassle it has done the job it is supposed to do and that is all I want from it. Though I am confused as to why there is a need for 2 standards when on I have not seen a noticeable improvement in performance. ...

Obscure accessory for obsolete Olympus Digicams

Advantages: reasonably high quality cable
Disadvantages: Of very limited use

My 100th review ? in some ways I wish I?d chosen a more glamorous item to cover, but this will have to do! Earlier Olympus Digital cameras used RS232c interfaces to connect directly to Personal Computers; my first semi-serious digital camera (an Olympus CAMEDIA C 960ZOOM reviewed previously) was one such example. Cameras of this vintage frequently have two 3.5mm jack sockets, one for Composite Video out (and feature a yellow collar) the other, for data is beige to match the cable. The cable is reasonably high quality, being roughly a metre long, and terminating in a 3.5mm jack plug at one end, and a 9 pin serial connection at the other. Advantages: works great most of the time
Disadvantages: none, except for the first few months for me.

This little wireless adapter is designed to plug right into laptop of pc’s usb ports so that it enables them to be wireless and therefore can pick up a signal from a network. This can plug into your pc or laptop 2 different ways, firstly it can plug in much like a usb memory stick and just the stick itself can go straight into a usb port on your laptop or pc. The second way is to plug the holder into the pc of laptops usb port, this holder conveniently holds the wireless stick in place and has a wire leading out which can plug into the usb ports. This lead can go about a meter so is handy if you need to position it somewhere else on your desktop, also it looks quite good in its little holster and doesn’t look out of place.
