Over the Hedge PS2 - A pretty average game

Advantages: Multiplayer
Disadvantages: Camera angles, animations, lack of checkpoints, voice acting.

When Over The Hedge was released in theatres in 2006, it became very popular with children and adults alike, and the reaction from viewers was mainly positive. The game, however, didn't get so lucky. In my opinion, games tend to lose some of their magic when they're based off a movie (with the exception of a few), and this was no exception. However, the game also had a few advantages and was nowhere near as bad as some of the latest low-quality games. It mainly followed the film's story-line, with a few extra twists to add to the gaming experience, so I don't think the game deserved the bad reputation that it got. When you start playing, you are put in control of a team of two animals. The player can decide who they would like their team to be, these are the options; RJ the racoon, Verne the turtle, Hammy the hamster or Stella the skunk ...

Review of Over The Hedge (PS2)

Bridging the USB-PS/2 gap

Advantages: allows you to use PS/2 devices on a USB port, cheap, easy
Disadvantages: none

Well isn't this a nifty little device? Doesn't it get annoying when you don't have enough space to plug in more PS/2 devices to your PC? PS/2 is becoming obsolete now and sometimes you will get computers without ports for them, including one of my laptops. Another problem with PS/2 ports are that they are always hard to get to; not only will you never find one on a frontal port section (on the front of a PC case) but at the back they are always buried under wires! Also, people with less knowledge about computers would be unlikely to know what a PS/2 port looks like, but will probably know what a USB port looks like! Anyway, I was getting annoyed at my latest laptop for not having any PS/2 ports, since I was planning to use it for gaming and my favourite keyboard and mouse for gaming are both USB. Advantages: An original game with funky retro music and lots of style
Disadvantages: Limited Scope and Freedom/Too linear

--- Overview --- First released on the Dreamcast (RIP) by Sega back in 2000, it was at its time the first dance game on the next generation consoles. Two years later and it was released on the PS2, but how well has it done?
