I had to transfer some old VHS into DVD for convenience so I did browse the internet looking for something really good yet easy to use and most important not expensive. I found a lot of very good reviews about this product, so I decided to give it a go and bought one, well I have to say that it works beautifully, the manual is very clear, the installation was a breeze, the software bundled is very useful and whilst I'm writing the device is currently helping me to transfer my 10th tape and counting... The video output is surprisingly good in particular using the composite input, I checked with "graphedit" the directshow codecs used and they are the one provided by the bundled software, however because the device is a WDM compliant device you can use any capture software that will convert to MPEG2 with better codecs, again this is just ...

Welcome To The Videos

Advantages: great music videos, like 'November Rain', 'Don't Cry' and 'Paradise City'.
Disadvantages: No extras. A few videos missing that I feel should have been on it.

could, but it's damn hilarious watching them try. 'Paradise City', shows Guns 'n' Roses performing the song during a couple of stadium shows, cut and put together (Axl Rose looking incredibly camp, stomping around the stage). 'Patience', has another simple video to it. It shows parts of Axl Rose in what appears to be a recording studio and another part of the video also shows Axl watching the TV in a hotel room. Not very exciting stuff, I'll admit. 'Don't Cry', is in my opinion one of the best videos they ever made, it starts off with Axl (looking very strange I might add) walking through snow, clutching a bottle of what I can only guess to be the famous Jack Daniels. It then shows Axl sweeping through the door (looking gorgeous. Don't laugh, I used to have a serious crush on him). Next thing it shows is Axl with a gun to his head ...

Good to convert your vhs videos

Advantages: easy to use, light weight

I have only recently purchased this and have been trying various different items to get has video onto a win vista system and have finally found one. The dazzle 90 convert?s analogue signals sent by analogue TV vhs, 8mm etc into digital signals that your computer can use. This comes with male to male connections but a scart adaptor can be bought extra for only a few pounds from your local electronics shop. This comes bundled with pinnacle nine which works on all win xp systems. However to work on vista you need to install the updates which are available from pinnacle and to upgrade to video studio 10 as minimum. This item is basically plug and play plug into your video connect the leads to your dazzle and the plug the output lead into your USB slot. It should be easily recognized.
