Starcraft is still one of the most popular games online. It offers 3 highly distinct races and possibly the most involving stories yet seen in real time strategy gaming. It may look a bit old nowadays (with the 640x480 resolutions) but on the other hand it will run like a dream if you're still hanging on to your old P90 system. Starcraft has made such an affect on strategy games players, that even the latest of strategy games are often compared to this masterpiece. In my opinion, no game yet has come close to the playability offered by this classic title. Blizzard have captured a type of play in Starcraft that is compelling and something you will want to go back to again and again. The Battlenet online option always gives you access to an online community that will be ready to challenge you, and this service is still going very strong. Patches, as of this time are also still being released for the game, and Blizzard (possible one of the best games developers alongside ID) are still strongly supporting their product and producing patches to further tune the gameplay balance. Overall, this is strategy at its best. If you are looking for something to pass the time before Starcraft 2 arrives and Starcraft has been played to death already, try Metal Fatigue!

Review of StarCraft (PC)
Advantages: New units, campaigns, levels and a fluid plot. Did not tip the balance of units but some cool idea Disadvantages: Requires full working version of Starcraft.
Advantages: New units, maps, campaigns, music and storyline Disadvantages: Doesn't add anything for people who didn't enjoy Starcraft, lots of maps are already available to freely download off the internet (although not always of such a high standard)
