I like to Snowboard, Ski, have lived in many countries including Lebanon, Canada, England, and now Dubai UAE. I like outdoor life and everything that goes with it.

Starcraft is the best strategy game since Warcraft III was released last year. It centers on the battle that rages around the universe including the races of Terrans or Humans, the Zerg or the rampaging alien horde and the Protoss a very chivalric alien race. The story goes as this: the Terrans or Humans were sent from Earth to colonise a planet many light years away. Their ships go haywire and the inhabitants, whom are all the detritis of human life that earth didn't deem fit to live on their planet end up crash landing on an alien planet. They settle there and build up an empire not knowing that life existed outside their tiny solar system. The Zerg are a race of aliens that go through the universe either assimilating any races that they need in their gene pool or destroying any that are not worthy. They come across the Terrans and begin to attack them. However the Protoss see what is going on and begin to defend the Terrans as they assume the role of 'protectors' within the Universe. This basically sets the scene for some good old destruction to commence.
There are scenarios for each race and they thus instruct you in how to play each and progress you further into the story line. They are fun to play but the main fun is when playing multi-player games. this can be done over Blizzards battle.net site and it has servers for hundreds of thousands to play. This is an awesome feature and is a definite if you want to progress in skill. There is also a map editor so you can make your own maps and play them. This is a very interesting feature and is good fun to play around with.
In conclusion, this game maybe old but is still worth every penny and will probably be very cheap in some shops as they will be trying to get rid of their stock. It is a must to own if you are a fan of strategy games.

Sounds like a good game if you are into Sci-fi. I enjoyed the warcraft games from Blizzard and Diablo.

Well written op. Wasn't that keen on the game myself, having played C & C to death before trying it but for fans of this genre it is a fantastically huuuuuuuuuuuuuge game. Pit.

Advantages: New units, campaigns, levels and a fluid plot. Did not tip the balance of units but some cool idea Disadvantages: Requires full working version of Starcraft.
Advantages: New units, maps, campaigns, music and storyline Disadvantages: Doesn't add anything for people who didn't enjoy Starcraft, lots of maps are already available to freely download off the internet (although not always of such a high standard)
