This game has found a cult like fallowing on the internet gaming network know as Battlenet. In fact in some countries like the US an South Korea tournaments are held with pro players in attendance who compete for cash prizes and world wide fame. Pro players make as much as 100 grand a year and much more from advertising. These guys get paid to play games from noon to night, and even have their own stylists, managers, and promoters.
The online gaming of starcarft is the most advanced and fun. You can chose to face opponents in a traditional manner or you can play one of the thousands of different custom maps that have a feel of a arcade game, or emulate popular cartoons or movies such as the Matrix or The Simpsons. The scenarios are even up-to-date on current events, you can play games such as Bomb Sadam, or World Trade Center Defense.
You can chose from 3 races which have nothing to do with each others technologies and have their own unique strategies, buildings and units.
I would definitely put this game as top 3 ever made, in fact in maybe 10 years this game will become as know as Tetris and Packman is today. 100% recommended to buy! Enjoy!

Review of StarCraft (PC)
Advantages: New units, campaigns, levels and a fluid plot. Did not tip the balance of units but some cool idea Disadvantages: Requires full working version of Starcraft.
Advantages: New units, maps, campaigns, music and storyline Disadvantages: Doesn't add anything for people who didn't enjoy Starcraft, lots of maps are already available to freely download off the internet (although not always of such a high standard)
