Everytime i tell someone about this game that always say star what? It's not the most heard about game of all time but it is one of the best, simple and most playable games of all time. You cn pick this game up for about £5.00 now and this is a great price to pick this game up for.
Blizzard created this game and they have created many for example starcraft, warcraft and diablo which are all very big sellers and great thinking games, these can all be played on battle.net which is a great place to play games because everyone in there but a few people are good to play with.
The humans/terrans as they are called think they are the best in the game and want to overtake everything. Zergs and protross are the other races which need to be thought against, unless you are one of those races, basically it is all against all in this game.
They all have different strengths, terran are good at defence and quick attack, protoss are good at everything but not amazing at one thing and zerg are good at quick attack and ground attack.
There are 30 single missions with custom play as well, 10 for terran, 10 for zerg and 10 for protoss. These missions are good but are quite long and sometimes become boring, i personally like the internet play because this is more unpredictable.
Generally you do find your favorite race, mine is protross but i can play with any race.
This game became mainstreem in 1997 but is still around now which proves that this game is good enough for £5.00
In conclusion i think compleating single player and then moving onto online play is the best thing you can do because by the time you finished the singles you will be ok to play online, make sure if you are new online you play in a noob game because they are for new people.
Good game deffinatally worth buying for £5,00.

Review of StarCraft (PC)
Advantages: New units, campaigns, levels and a fluid plot. Did not tip the balance of units but some cool idea Disadvantages: Requires full working version of Starcraft.
Advantages: New units, maps, campaigns, music and storyline Disadvantages: Doesn't add anything for people who didn't enjoy Starcraft, lots of maps are already available to freely download off the internet (although not always of such a high standard)
