When I first saw this game on the market I assumed it was just a Warcraft knockoff. I saw Blizzard made the game, so then I thought they were just cashing in on Warcraft's popularity. I bought it anyway, and what a great decision that was!
There are three separate storylines, each one attached to the three separate races in the game. Each race has different units and different powers, like many other similar games, but in Starcraft they are so completely different-- one race is an organic, acid-spitting type, and another is a cyborg, energy-driven race, and then the humans-- that you will find yourself actually playing each race all the way through. The AI is pretty good, so you really have to watch what you are doing. It is a vast improvement on a very successful and popular game!

Advantages: New units, campaigns, levels and a fluid plot. Did not tip the balance of units but some cool idea Disadvantages: Requires full working version of Starcraft.
Advantages: New units, maps, campaigns, music and storyline Disadvantages: Doesn't add anything for people who didn't enjoy Starcraft, lots of maps are already available to freely download off the internet (although not always of such a high standard)
