Although not the best game of all time, this game is the best of its type on the market. When I first played this game I didn't think much of it it was pretty run of the mill stuff, third or fourth level in my opinion changed, The mission involved surviving thirty minutes agaisnt alian swarms until the rescue team arrived All went pretty well the enemy wasn'nt too hard until the last 60 seconds Hundreds of Aliens swarmed through the only two entrances to my base killing all in their path. I almost quit the mission to try again but at the lastmoment rescue ships swept down and the remnants of my troops escaped. That moment was when my conceptions of what a video game should be like changed forever. luckily the rest of the game continued on an even higher par.
The game is set into three distinct chapters in which you play the three races involved. each has its on perspective on the story and its own strengths and weaknesses this makes for a very interesting game. in which you really do have to change your strategies for different situations.

Advantages: Incredible editor, good diversity Disadvantages: 1) Build up your army to a million units,2) click and press 'A' on the enemy base 3) leave computer to eat dinner for half an hour 4) return to find enemy base destroyed

Review of StarCraft (PC)
Advantages: New units, campaigns, levels and a fluid plot. Did not tip the balance of units but some cool idea Disadvantages: Requires full working version of Starcraft.
Advantages: New units, maps, campaigns, music and storyline Disadvantages: Doesn't add anything for people who didn't enjoy Starcraft, lots of maps are already available to freely download off the internet (although not always of such a high standard)
