This game robbed me of two weeks of my life. I am a self confessed star trek fan so I usually like this type of game anyway but this game was fantastic. Its just soo adictive. On the gameplay front its very reminicant of comand and conquer type games but there is just soo much more, the storyline that runs through the game pulls you on and forces you to complete mission after mission even though you may still be up at 3am in the morning. The graphics are pretty darn good too - full 3d ships that will sverve and dogfight each other instead of just sitting there and shooting like most games. Some of your ships can cloak whcih is always fun. Each ship has a specail ability too which is funnest on the borg where you can assimilate a ships crew even when they have shiels. You end up caring about each ship and each ships crew, you can transport crew between ships and factories which will determine how that ship can function, each ship has a series of systems like power, shields life support which can all be damaged or destroyed in dipendintly. The funnest thing about the game however is beaming troops aboard an enemy ship and capturing it.. Especially when you do it to borg cubes when you are the piddley federation. A must for everyone, even if you are not a Star Trek fan.
