Advantages: Great story, controls may appeal to some Disadvantages: Dated graphics, repetitive, cheats which can't be turned off, not much replay value
the 2nd level.
Another gripe with the game is how it always sends you back to the same locales you've visited. You visit Coruscant 3 times and its always at the Jedi temple.
Also, when you complete the game, you can't play any particular level again, you have to start all over again.
AND, you unlock codes which can't be deactivated once turned on, that was incredibly lame.
So is it worth buying? No. Is it worth renting? Yes. StarWars enthusiasts will get a kick out of the story and the controls may appeal to some. Despite this, the game is much better for the PS3 and 360. The graphics just look so dated compare to those versions. The wait goes on for a decent StarWars experience for the Wii. ...
Advantages: Story. All the force powers Disadvantages: It's too easy
Currently I only have a Wii, I'm not a big video-game playing person but being a bit of a StarWars fan I thought the idea of swinging your Wii remote about like a light sabre and throwing people about with the force was too good to resist.
The Game Story
When this film starts off if you're a StarWars fan it's sheer bliss. At first you get the usual crawl of text summing up what's going on in the galaxy. You then step off a ship as Darth Vader! Your imperial troops are having problems. "Leave it to me" says Vader as he's about to embark on some ass-kicking. The best way to enjoy this mission is to just walk very slowly around as if nothing is really bothering you and casually slice and knock the wookies about. Being the first level it doubles up as a tutorial of sorts and you're constantly getting messages on your screen ...
Advantages: Fun to play, Darth Vader, interesting story, lightsabers and force powers in general. Disadvantages: No multiplayer, not long enough, fewer force powers than expected.
StarWars The ForceUnleashed is a game which was designed to fit in between the 3rd and 4th films in the StarWars saga.
The story is told from Darth Vader's secret and powerful apprentice "Galen Starkiller". The story is about Starkiller's quest to eliminate all of the Jedi's that remain in the galaxy, to ensure the Empire's total dominance.
The gameplay is very good, with a good range of force powers and moves to learn, as well as several outfits and lightsaber colours to unlock on the way by finding various "Holocron's" that are scattered throughout the game. The player has huge control over the force powers, some including Force Grip, Force Lightning and Saber Throw. There are many different combinations for the player to find and play around with, with different rewards based on the level. There is also quite a bit ...
