I managed to buy this for £15 at Wilko, and I am glad I did not pay any more. I couldn't see any difference to my sink and it had no effect on the tile grout or the small area on the floor I tried. I am hoping for better results on the loo. I only tested a small area of glass (worried about cracking the glass) and it did get the water/soap marks off although the window squeegee provided is not very good, but with my own window squeegee I was happy ... ...on food particles. I was however very pleased with the clothing attachment, that did a really good job. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I found that you could only use the steam for around 2 mins before the steam "power" had reduced and you have to wait until the light goes out again to build up another head of steam. ...bought this steam for £89 for online Electrolux shop but shop around as since buying, I know Curry's had this in stock a while back. I have found ebay sells Graded ones for I believe £30.

Advantages: easy to use, kills germs Disadvantages: not a carpet cleaner
I bought this to get stains out of a carpet. It will loosen the stain, but needs a lot of scrubbing to remove the dirt. I found it great for cleaning the cooker, inside the hob rings and tiny places where fingers can't reach. After the dirt has been loosened, the surface does need to be wiped down, so it isn't a quick job. The steam lasts continuously for 30 minutes, but as you keep putting it down to wipe the surface, one tank of water will last ... ...be very noisy with certain attachments but will clean areas like grout, shower walls, and take the grease from units in the kitchen, as well as the internal plastic seats of a car. It also kills all germs so we don't need to buy the expensive pet flea killer. ...
Advantages: Heats to steam quickly - probably heat of kills germs as steam is hot Disadvantages: Leaves floors very, wet. End up double cleaning everything - covers poor - waste of space!
Not impressed with the H20 steam mop product, which falls far short of the detailed TV advert performance.
On hard floors it leaves them sopping wet, not so much of a problem on a matt finish amtico type floor but with laminate, there's no way you could leave it .
Ended up with twice the work, having to use my superwonder mop to wipe all excess water to leave floor with decent finish when dry.
Even on clean carpet which is just being freshened ... ...it seems to roll any dirt in almost fluff balls which then have to be vacuumed again when it dries. It seems to double the work involved whatever the surface.
The covers provided are also pretty poor in fit and quality with a tendency to come off - difficult to put back on with heat. Also they seem to fall to bits somewhat (particulary the blue micro cover which bits fall off - only used it 2 times)
Overall I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and ...
...carpet. When I contacted Bissell about this they were next to useless in their response. Eventually however, it was picked up for repair after many phone calls and letters were sent to Bissell. The machine was eventually returned to me however, on unpacking it, I found that both back wheels had been smashed. More phone calls and letter ensued. Finally after even more phone calls and letters they promised to send a replacement machine. The second ... ...to work. It started emitting a strong burning smell and then stopped working. This machine has given me nothing but grief during the time I have owned it. I am now going to experience the greatest joy and pleasure of taking it down to the local council tip for disposal and will have the pure delight of seeing it finally leave my house for good. I shall be so very glad to see the back of it. So PLEASE, Please DO NOT waste any of your hard earned cash ...
