Disappointing bargain...
Review of Hoover Vaporzip VPA 0310 by pinkichiban

Advantages: Lightweight and simple to operate
Disadvantages: Lacks power and broke down almost immediayely

I bought this item at half price at £19.95 and thought that I had really found an amazing bargain. It arrived and I immediately began to set to work with my grubby kitchen. It worked ok although was not as powerful as I would have hoped. On the second day of use (only used briefly yesterday) it stopped working after one squeeze of the trigger whilst steam cleaning my daughters mucky book bag. How disappointing, now left with an almost half cleaned ...
...for blockages and emptied and refilled the tank, but no joy. Took five phone calls to get a refund as was out of stock, although I think a refund is better as I was left less than impressed with my amazing bargain and would not really recommend. Lightweight and easy to use but lacks power and I did not find reliable... ... Read review

Polti Vaporetto Eco Pro 3300
Review of Polti Vaporetto 3000 Eco Pro Lux Steam Cleaner by jsbc007

Advantages: The sense of absolute cleanliness after using the Polti is unmatched with any other product.
Disadvantages: It is quite a bulky item, like a vacuum cleaner, so needs its own storage space.

...which this is achieved is just marvellous. The window cleaning squeegee attachments are brilliant - windows and mirrors have never seemed so clean! In hard water areas the addition of CalStop prevents limescale buildup and the Polti mail order service for phials of this product is very efficient.. ... Read review

Home-tek Ht834 Steam Mop... Fantastic
Review of Home-Tek HT824 Steam MOP by b4rbienightmare

Advantages: quick, easysetup, no messing, cleans spotless, cheap, no soaked floors to dry, robust
Disadvantages: none

...look back after buying the Home-tek Ht834 Steam Mop. Its fantastic, Its fast and easy to setup to use, always spotless cleaning and with no effort also the pads are washable, I just chuck mine in the washing machine and not had to replace it yet. It stands up on its own so no need to lean it against a wall. It comes with a removable mop pad with velcro on the back that stick straight to the bottom of the mop , you just have to place the mop on top ...
...its a very strong grip. Mine came with a carpet attachment that you just stand the mop on so it glides over rugs and carpets , I find this really useful, no messing about attaching and un-attaching, you don't even need to bend down. I think you can also get the mop with an extra patio attachment too, I wish i had bought this now knowing how good the mop is! Setting the mop is so easy , easier than the mop and bucket. It has a smallish water tank ... Read review

Don't laugh - the Corby is quite useful actually
Review of Corby 7700 Trouser Press by sadoldbag

Advantages: keeps your suits tidy and puts the creases back in your clothes
Disadvantages: can put creases in the wrong place if you don't put trousers in carefully

...surely be unaware of the Corby trouser press. I do wonder if there are any other manufacturers apart from Corby who make trouser presses. The three words are synonymous. The Company John Corby Limited is the company that makes the Corby trouser press. It was established in 1930 by John Corby in Windsor, England and originally made valet stands. A valet stand is wooden frame for putting a jacket on and hanging trousers overnight, so you could ...
...chair then, basically! But John Corby took them to a new level by adding a pressing area and lo! The first Corby trouser press was invented. They stuck a plug on them during the 1960s, so they were electrically heated. In 1977 John Corby Limited became part of what is now Jourdan plc. The company relocated to Andover, Hampshire in the eighties and the sales and marketing aspects of the business still operate from there, though actual production is ... Read review

Home-Tek Steam Mop
Review of Home-Tek HT824 Steam MOP by loube0

Advantages: Very quick and easy to use
Disadvantages: Does not work well on carpets

I recently purchased a Home-Tek steam mop on the advice of a friend, and I have to say that I have not been disapointed with it. It is really quick and easy to use, but I would advise that extra pads are purchased as it is a bit of pain having to keep washing and drying the same one. As I have young children it was important that the floor was not too wet after, and this mop does not leave too much water behind, and what is left drys very quickly. ... Read review
