Advantages: Heats to steam quickly - probably heat of kills germs as steam is hot Disadvantages: Leaves floors very, wet. End up double cleaning everything - covers poor - waste of space!
Not impressed with the H20 steam mop product, which falls far short of the detailed TV advert performance.
On hard floors it leaves them sopping wet, not so much of a problem on a matt finish amtico type floor but with laminate, there's no way you could leave it .
Ended up with twice the work, having to use my superwonder mop to wipe all excess water to leave floor with decent finish when dry.
Even on clean carpet which is just being freshened ... ...it seems to roll any dirt in almost fluff balls which then have to be vacuumed again when it dries. It seems to double the work involved whatever the surface.
The covers provided are also pretty poor in fit and quality with a tendency to come off - difficult to put back on with heat. Also they seem to fall to bits somewhat (particulary the blue micro cover which bits fall off - only used it 2 times)
Overall I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and ...
Advantages: none Disadvantages: split pipes when hot causing electrical shock if not careful
the home tek steam mop ht824 light and easy was a good cleaning tool until it went wrong ie the water pipes are that flimsey when they get hot they split leaving enough water in the electrical compartment to actually cause you harm ie electrical shock which could kill whoever uses this mop. please be very aware that when this happens the mop wont work even if you repaire the said split pipes which for the ammount of heat this mop generates is disgraceful.when ...
Advantages: Effortless cleaning and not a chemical in sight Disadvantages: Absolutely none
...caught my eye was the Electrolux Z355A Enviro Steam Gun Cleaner, from the description it seemed perfect for our needs and it wasn’t too expensive either.
I set Mr. T. the task of finding the best deal online. Not surprisingly it was available almost everywhere and the price was more or less the same, give or take a few pence.
The dark clouds that had descended around Mr. T. suddenly started to slowly lift and the sun began to peek through when ... ...when you have got an Electrolux Enviro Steam Gun Cleaner “, I shouted from the bathroom to Mr. T whilst doing a little jig. Ok I don’t dispute the drain unblocking powder did the bulk of the work but I believe the blast of steam did the rest. Needless to say all the plug holes get a 5 minute blast of steam at least twice a week. *Angled Nozzle*
Attached to the straight nozzle this is perfect for getting right under the rim of the loo, behind taps, ...
Advantages: Good results on clothes and mirrors Disadvantages: so difficult to get to grips with and just a naff version of a good product
JML Steamstation Pro. This is a small machine which uses the power of steam to quickly and effectively clean, and to quickly and effectively steam clothes instead of ironing. I bought the steamstation from JML's own website http://www.jmldirect.com/Steam-Station-Pro-PS3415/ here you can see a small video and info about the product. It is £58.71 but i paid £80 for the upgraded version with all the attachments. I can't think this product would be of ... ...well ignore the cheaper one. JML are very proffesional, it is easy to buy and delivery is very quick. I ordered this because i hate ironing and i thought that an easy and quick solution like this would be fantastic. So... imagine a white watering can, the hole on the top is sealed with a screw in purple lid. This is the steam station pro, there is a base unit which it can sit in for stability but it is the 'watering can' that does the work. It comes ...
...found for £40 was the Tri Star Steam Buggy and I wish I hadn't... Anyone looking for one of these in an Argos catalouge will be disappointed as ebay is the only place you shall probably find it. This is because Tri Star appeared on home shopping channels such as QVC and they were recalled in the States due to poor workmanship. The product is made in Taiwan, and it comes in either blue or yellow. (You find loads of yellow ones on ebay sometimes.) ... ...you won't be able to find these online either. Anyhow, this was my experience with it: After filling up the tank with water, you must wait 15 minutes. Once steam reaches the nozzle, it is ready to use. My experience was waiting 30 minutes, getting fed up of waiting and firing the nozzle. All that came out was boiling water. Seeing as I had some time to kill, I gave it another 10 minutes to heat up. By this time, you should be on your way to pressing ...
