Thane direct steam mop - doesn't do what it says ! Advantages: Heats to steam quickly - probably heat of kills germs as steam is hot Disadvantages: Leaves floors very, wet. End up double cleaning everything - covers poor - waste of space! Not impressed with the H20 steam mop product, which falls far short of the detailed TV advert performance. On hard floors it leaves them sopping wet, not so much of a problem on a matt finish amtico type floor but with laminate, there's no way you could leave it . Ended up with twice the work, having to use my superwonder mop to wipe all excess water to leave floor with decent finish when dry. Even on clean carpet which is just being freshened ... ...it seems to roll any dirt in almost fluff balls which then have to be vacuumed again when it dries. It seems to double the work involved whatever the surface. The covers provided are also pretty poor in fit and quality with a tendency to come off - difficult to put back on with heat. the home tek ht 824 home review. Advantages: none Disadvantages: split pipes when hot causing electrical shock if not careful the home tek steam mop ht824 light and easy was a good cleaning tool until it went wrong ie the water pipes are that flimsey when they get hot they split leaving enough water in the electrical compartment to actually cause you harm ie electrical shock which could kill whoever uses this mop. please be very aware that when this happens the mop wont work even if you repaire the said split pipes which for the ammount of heat this mop generates is disgraceful.when ... minney6 07.05.2009 · Read full review Review of Home-Tek HT824 Steam MOP
The night dad got all steamy round the collar!!! Advantages: Nice bright yellow colour, cleans well if you're very careful Disadvantages: Expensive, messy to use, no timer on water heater, possibly dangerous ...of his own, called a Karcher SC1122 and he was really raving about what a great job it had done on his own carpets. So, dad thought it would be a good idea to ask Joe if we could borrow his "to try it out", before we buy one of our own. On Friday of last week dad came home from work and lugged a bright yellow contraption into the house. Karcher Carpet Cleaner Advantages: Brilliant, deep down cleaning Disadvantages: the price ...It comes in the usual karcher black and yellow, which is not very eyecatching but it is only a carpet cleaner I suppose. The unit has 7.5 metres of cable so can stretch a long way, and is particularly useful for the stairs. It comes with a floor nozzle and a hand nozzle which are both stored onboard the unit, and the hose itself is 2.5m long which again means not much stooping whilst cleaning. It has a 1250watt motor and the unit itself is made form ... ...rust proof, only time will tell if it lives up to this statement, but knowing how clumsy I am with my normal hoover the unbreakable part will soon take it's test with me. It is very easy to manouvre, with two large wheels to the rear of the unit and two smaller ones located at the front, There is also a handle on top of the unit, making it very easy to carry around. Whatever you do Don't buy this machine. Advantages: None Disadvantages: Everything ...carpet. When I contacted Bissell about this they were next to useless in their response. Eventually however, it was picked up for repair after many phone calls and letters were sent to Bissell. The machine was eventually returned to me however, on unpacking it, I found that both back wheels had been smashed. More phone calls and letter ensued. Finally after even more phone calls and letters they promised to send a replacement machine. The second ... ...to work. It started emitting a strong burning smell and then stopped working. This machine has given me nothing but grief during the time I have owned it. I am now going to experience the greatest joy and pleasure of taking it down to the local council tip for disposal and will have the pure delight of seeing it finally leave my house for good. I shall be so very glad to see the back of it.
