The Frying Steamer
Advantages: Looks nice, easy to clean, frying pan as well as steamer Disadvantages: Quite heavy
So Okay tell me I am easily pleased but I have been looking for a steamer for ages and when I stumbled across this little creation I was stunned that not only was it a steamer but also a frying pan to - now although I recognise that this may not have any benefit for those of you with the liberty of a cooker, I however do not posses such a thing!
I bought this from Comet for the reasonable price of 39.99, I personally thought that this steamer with ... ...all the others that I have looked at and is still a reasonable price.
The steamer itself consists of 1 non stick frying pan which sits at the bottom and 2 other pans that are used for the steaming there are also little metal compartments that you use to separate the things you are steaming, the idea is that you fill the bottom pan with water and allow the heat to rise through to the other pans. This also features a quick release mains lead which ...

Recommended - Good performance and value for money
Advantages: Attractive design, useful features, good performance Disadvantages: No filler spout, a little awkward to assemble
...circuit, and settled on the Tefal 'simply invents'. How much invention is there - can there be - in a humble kitchen steamer? Obviously not much - but read on!
The Tefal VC101616 is a conventional three-tiered kitchen steamer which can perform all the usual functions. The base has a brushed stainless steel finish, and the baskets are clear plastic. Preparing the steamer for use, one notices that it is light - an important consideration if it's going ... ...to be said that the Tefal does vegetables very well. Things like carrots, cabbage and broccoli turn out well - and quickly - retaining good flavour and texture. It took its time doing spuds though although they, too, turned out well, so obviously they should always go in the first basket! At the time of writing I've not tried to cook rice, though a bowl for this purpose is provided, or fish.
After use the Tefal is easy to clean. The baskets come ...

Morphy Richards 48780 Steamer
Advantages: Cuts down on electric, food is fresh and tasty, good looks Disadvantages: No delay timer. No seperate tanks for food
As always, I like to start my review about the packaging and how well it is boxed. Unfortunatly I cannot do this, this time because my very dear mother gave me this steamer for free (she had won it in a prize draw). She already had taken it out of the box and thrown some of it away. I am not going to complain though. So lets start with the looks of it first then. Sitting on the worktop it looks like a babies steraliser unit on the top with a radio ... ...but divided into three) are see through blue with two at the front and one wide one at the back. The base looks like a brushed metal/silver finish. On the blue screen you can set the different containers for different steaming events and can be set so they all finish at the same time so you dont have to keep things warm waiting for another peice to get cooked. There is an alarm so you dont need to keep checking on it and has a preset guide of times ...

The Best Gadget is a Slow Cooker
Advantages: Cheap to run, easy to use, multi functional and gives tender results every time Disadvantages: Starting off finding whatyou can put in it.
Having been told by a friend to buy a slow cooker as it would help with time saving, as my other half works odd shifts and I work normal hours, so we rarely eat together, I thought I would give it a go, now I cook everything in it and there is no stopping me, from a cheap piece of meat you can turn out fantastic receipes with very little effort, just a little bit of prep at the begining. I use it for puddings as well as savoury dinners. After placing ... ...the crock (this is the ceramic part of the pot, thats easily washed in the dishwasher!) you simply put the lid on and switch on, wait at least 4 hours however I leave mine all day and the longer the better really, then depending on what you are having add your dumplings or potatoes an hour before serving and viola! you have a complete meal with little effort. I have found that cheap meat -ie. Brisket/Shoulder/Skrag etc works so well in the slow cooker ...

Steamer
Advantages: Locks in Great taste Disadvantages: None
As i often have people round for dinner parties, i like to ensure that the food of which i prepare is of the highest standard and that it tastes fantastic.
If i was to boil or cook my food in the oven the essential flavours and vitamins are lost through that form of cooking.
However, after doing research i discovered that the best way to cook your food, is by steaming.
My friend reccomended this product to me and i took a chance of purchasing ... ...also many large supermarkets such as tesco.
As the dinner party was fast approaching, i decided to do a trail run.
I prepared my vegatables, And chicken breasts,
There is stacking system, each conpartment for a different type of food.
You can steam, fish, chicken, pork, steaks, vegtables.
There is also a seperate rice bowl.
And a drip tray for collecting juices.
You pour your water into the heating department, then place your drip tray into ...
