Steamer
Review of Tefal VC100615 by googeth

Advantages: Locks in Great taste
Disadvantages: None

As i often have people round for dinner parties, i like to ensure that the food of which i prepare is of the highest standard and that it tastes fantastic. If i was to boil or cook my food in the oven the essential flavours and vitamins are lost through that form of cooking. However, after doing research i discovered that the best way to cook your food, is by steaming. My friend reccomended this product to me and i took a chance of purchasing ...
...also many large supermarkets such as tesco. As the dinner party was fast approaching, i decided to do a trail run. I prepared my vegatables, And chicken breasts, There is stacking system, each conpartment for a different type of food. You can steam, fish, chicken, pork, steaks, vegtables. There is also a seperate rice bowl. And a drip tray for collecting juices. You pour your water into the heating department, then place your drip tray into ... Read review

Mmmmm, vegetables....
Review of Tefal Tefal by Indiana29

Advantages: Vegetables and rice but not as we know it!
Disadvantages: None

...a review of the particular Tefal model (which I got on special at Argos for £18), I suspect most are pretty good. Below are some things to check when you see a steamer on special. I was surprised at how easy they seem to use. I never thought they would be a tricky appliance. But being able to switch on the timer and not have to constantly check the food, means you can do something else while it is going. I haven't been able to check it out thoroughly, ...
...cheap ones you cannot)? The Tefal has a small drawer-like thing that pulls open that you pour water into while it is switched on. 2. Is there a water level indicator? Best not to try boiling your steamer dry, and a kettle-like indicator on them is probably better than waiting for the burnt out smell! 3. Related to above, does it automatically switch off if you haven't bothered to fill it up? 4. Do the trays pack into one another? The Tefal declares ... Read review

I've had two steamy loves these past few years
Review of Tefal 6161 by jooleybooley

Advantages: Healthy steamed food, easy storage, perfect for any size family
Disadvantages: The brown bits and durability - and scalding

Tefal Steam Cuisine … turbo diffusion – See product photo above This is one of those times where I cry, ‘If only I had one of these a few years ago, when my kitchen was the size of a broom cupboard!’ And I regret ever previously thinking of this versatile kitchen appliance as a ‘waste of money.’ More fool me eh? For 10 years, I battled in my tiny kitchen dreading Sunday dinners. How was I supposed to dish up seven meals, with only a handkerchief-sized ...
...nightmare. I discovered the Tefal Steamer a few years ago on an advert – and brought it for my husband for Christmas, assuring him he would rather have it than Fifa 2004 for the Xbox, as this gift would make me much happier, which would make him much happier … I would recommend this to everyone – especially those with LIMITED SPACE, or those with YOUNG CHILDREN because it’s … IDEAL FOR SMALL KITCHENS - It takes up the space of a single large pan, ... The best steamer by far!
Review of Tefal 615717 by ratemeplease

Advantages: Simple, easy to use, the best way to cook!
Disadvantages: Timer not 100% accurate

And this review is coming from someone that thinks cooking is putting something in the microwave! I cooked a roast last night and used this steamer in order to cook the vegetables. We had brocolli and sweetcorn. I was astounded at how easy it was to use and the value for money that it offers you. This is definately the most nutrious way to cook vegetables to keep the goodness locked in. This is definately a really good steamer for someone that ... Read review

Good Value steamer
Review of Tefal 6161.15 by kitty1801

Advantages: Healthy, can see food cooking, eaysy to use
Disadvantages: cleaning it and burning yourself on steam

I bought the steamer when I became pregnant with my first son. I think this cost about £25 when I got it but they are much cheaper now. It is great for steaming vegetables (we are vegetarian) and saves up space on your hob or grill which is really handy if you are cooking for a lot of people. The timer is easy to use and steaming time guidlines are shown on the front of the steamer. It is easy to add extra layers on (potatoes take about 25 minutes ...
...timer has quite a loud "ping" when it's finished so you will never miss it! As well as using it when I was pregnant it turned out invaluable when making baby food as you could cook loads of fruit and veg all at the same time. Now we still use it for cooking potatoes, carrot and corn on the cob. The bad points that I have found so far are washing it. If you don't clean it straight away, you have a hard job scrubbing it. Potatoes are the worst and ... Read review
