This is the perfect music software package for a music student, possibly doing their GCSEs or their A levels and is also very good for more advanced players, especially if used well with other software. There is deffinately no shortage of audio and midi instrument tracks and there are loops for anything in its considerably large loops bank making this software extremely diverse.
However, this does need some pieces of hardware to be ... ...record audio tracks (although some computers do have one built in) but as soon as its in and installed its easy to get working. The same applies for the MIDI capabillities, a MIDI interface or keyboard is recommended otherwise you will need to input every note by clicking it with the mouse which can become boring and take longer than it needs to.

Steinberg Sequel is music editing software that alows the user to choose from more than 5000 loops on more than 600 instruments. This mix of genres, sounds and speeds gives the user an infinite amount of patterns and songs to make. You can then export these songs to ITunes or as a .wav file. There is also the option to perform and mix your songs live! The only thing holding you back when using sequel is the speed of your processer and your sound ... ...is impossibly slow. The box says that 1GB+ of RAM gives the best results (most modern computers come with more than this anyway).
Any sound latency (blips and pops due to too much information trying to be played by the sound card) can be reduced by this patch:

It reduces the amount of information being sent for your sound card to procsess speeding up the playback.
