Advantages: Can be cooked from Frozen Disadvantages: A little expensive ( but worth it )
Being a lover of seafood, especially shellfish, I was delighted to find these Canadian Scallops from the Tesco finest Range in the freezer section last week.
These scallops are caught in the Alantic Ocean, just off the North East Coast of Canada. The flesh is removed from the shell by hand, is washed and trimmed, then frozen within minutes for maximum freshness.
The 200g packets cost £4.00 each, and after inspecting and realising there didn't appear to be that many in each packet, bought 2, as I had a coupon for extra Tesco Club points on anything purchased from the frozen Tesco Finest range over £5.00, plus I needed enough for the three of us.
I have to admit that I only tend to be this extravagant on special occasions, but felt we all deserved a treat after such an awful week.

The V-slicer is easy to use, quick to use and effective. It is perfect for making salads, stir fries and chopping onions for who knows how many tomato based sauces.
When you first get the V-slicer ( I bought mine from the TV shopping channel TV warehouse ) you can see that it comes exactly as shown on television. It is quick and easy to start using and has a very good manual which shows you all you need to know.
The concept of the V-slicer is basically a V shaped blade on a peice of plastic and as you move the item you are slicing up and down against the blade it effectively slices your food.

Dr Seuss has written countless numbers of fun books for children and this one is Green Eggs and Ham.
The cover of the book is Green with a red and white stripped banner down the left hand side and a picture of a yellow and white cat holding a plate of green eggs and ham and the title in white letting on the right hand side. The back cover is also green and has a paragraph about the book written at the top.
The story starts with a funny creature called Sam holding a banner telling us he is Sam-I-am. We meet another cat like creature who tells us he does not like that Sam-I-am. Sam asks this creature if he likes green eggs and ham, he says he does not like them. Sam goes on pestering him about liking green eggs and ham and taking him to funny places asking him if he would like them there.
Would he give in and try the green eggs ...
