Advantages: Great selection of bricks Disadvantages: None
...This super Lego selection come in a great storage box, perfect if you ever want to see your child's bedroom carpet again! If my son tips all the Lego out, we often use the lid to scoop it all back into the box. There are lots of different coloured bricks, including doors, windows and roof tiles. My son has built allsorts with this- bugalows, sheds, fire stations, houses, shops, walls, parks, playhouses, trees and much much more. Every night we have 'Lego Time' when my baby daughter is in bed- its a greta chance to bond. This Lego box means whatever my son suggests we build, we,ve got the lego pieces to do it. It is a great box to start your child's lego passion going....

Advantages: easy to assemble/dismantle. Hardwearing Disadvantages: only seen them in blue.
...I bought a pack of these mats in summer 2005. I initially used them to protect my son from my hard floors when he fell. He was just learning to sit up and although I put cushions around him I couldn't guarantee where he would fall. These gave me peace of mind.

Under a small slide in the house to stop little bottoms bumping on my wood floors, as a play mat, as gym mats and also as tunnels!
They have been well used and generally stored outside in the shed but apart from the odd scuff they are doing really well. I certainly shan't be replacing them soon and they are almost 3 years old. In fact I may...

...My two year old loves to be outdoors so for her second birthday we decided to buy her some outdoor toys.
She'd already fallen in love with a turtle sandpit that was at her nursery so we decided that a sandpit would be a good idea.
On looking for a sandpit most seemed flimsy (Shell Sandpit) or small but as usual the ELC came up trumps with their frog sandpit (made by Step2).
It's a generous sized sandpit (easily fits my daughter and the 4 year old girl next door) and is made of a sturdy green plastic. The bottom/sandpit is the frogs lower body and the upper body is the lid to keep out the rain (not to mention cats and insects). As a whole the sandpit is really attractive and my daughter loves it.
The safety sand is available from ELC (or Index or Argos)for approx £2.30 (frog sandpit takes 5 bags to fill it).
This sandpit although...
