I bought my stihl hedge trimmer 3 years ago second hand, and must say that it out does the rest. With being keen on gardening and running a maintenance business I chose the petrol version. The cutters are very easy to strip down and sharpen when needed and then easy to put back together. They cut any type of hedge with ease as others I find do not cut conifers well. I find the stihl hedge trimmers cut through thickness of up to an inch with no effort at all. I would highly recommend the stihl range to any person setting up or running a maintenance business as it is more reliable then most I have used. I have goto say that stihl out does the rest.
Advantages: Excellent Cutting Action, Long Cable on Electric Version Disadvantages: Jams, Judder!
Well having had the Stihls' for 6 months now i can say i have tested thoroughly these performance shears clippers. My opinion is that whilst they serve their purpose in the scheme of things they only do so "sufficiently." I've now had a couple of major jams from thicker twigs and i'm wondering if i should have taken the other reviews of the Stihls' which were not particularly positive, more seriously..... I, however do not agree with the harshest ... ...are "for" them, in fact I've found I really do rather like their firm, efficient operation.
I cannot recommend them without reservation to anyone, but for those of us on a limited budget who has a preference for the reliable kind of tool then they might just be your bag! Thanks for listening. ...
