On my quest to find the perfect blusher this was another one that came highly recommended from lots of friends and various celebs in beauty magazines. Stila's Convertible Colour is a multi-use make-up item, designed to use either on the cheeks or on the lips, and is a cream based product rather than the traditional powder or liquid cheek stains.

These come in 12 different colours all named after flowers - I have Poppy (a dark red, very striking and not for everyday) and Lillium (a soft pinky colour).
Application is easy - simply dab your finger onto the cream and then smooth onto the apples of your cheeks, blending carefully. The colours are very highly pigmented so you only need the tiniest bit. To apply to lips, I apply this and then a slick of clear lipgloss or Vaseline over the top as they have quite a matte finish. The cream blends in easily and has a slightly waxy feel and gives a lovely natural looking flush.
The Bad
I don't find that these have much staying power at all - the colour will be gone in a couple of hours. This seems to be down to the waxy consistency but I would expect more given the price of this product. I assume this poor staying power is the reason why Stila have come up with such a great design to apply it on the go! I also find that this doesn't work too well on my lips, even with a coat of Vaseline over the top it seems to dry them out a bit and the colour which works so well on my cheeks looks a little odd on my lips. Stila also bill these as being able to use on your eyes - personally I'm a bit loathe to use a pink colour as eyeshadow, but I've tried this with a more brown shade and it was a disaster - the waxy consistency made the product clump around the creases in my eyelid - not attractive.
Stila Convertible Colours cost a massive £23 each - really not worth it when you take into account the fact that they have to be reapplied so often that they don't last long (about 6 months) You can buy them from branches of Space NK, Liberty, or online from www.hqhair.com
Advantages: Great range of colours, multi-use, handy mirror, lasts ages Disadvantages: pricy
...WHAT DOES IT DO?
Stila Convertible Colour is a little compact containing a multi purpose colour creme that can be used on cheeks and lips (some people have even told me it can be used on eyes too but i'll stick to the basics!). It gives a gorgeous flush to cheeks and makes lips pouty and pretty. It's very handy because if you're travelling about then it saves space in your bag and is easy to apply.

you can buy Stila products from most big department stores or larger branches of Boots now. They also sell it in SpaceNK. Alternatively you can order it from an internet site and you can sometimes find it on Ebay too. ANY DOWNSIDES?
well if i have to think of some....
- the creamy consistency does seem to attract a little bit of fluff
- you need to use a little bit of lip balm, unless you are very lucky and your lips are always hydrated ...

Advantages: Multi use, Space saving, Wide range of shades. Disadvantages: Quite expensive, Can feel a little sticky, Slightly drying on lips.
...A must have in every Stila girls kit! It is currently available in nine different shades, though some shades are seem to be a little harder to come by than others: Camelia - A Natural tan shade with warm brown undertones. Gives a lovely beachy look once applied. (Especially on tan skin). Fuschia - Exactly that! A bright, neutral-cool pink shade that looks great on the lips. Gerbera - My favourite, Gerbera is a bright, flat yet glossy peach shade ... ...in many different ways. Although Stila themselves tell you to 'tap onto cheeks and press onto lips', I much prefer using a brush or wedge sponge when using on cheeks. I tap a large fluffy blush brush onto the surface of the product before buffing into the cheeks. For wedge sponges I apply similarly, but to blend I simply dab the sponge around my cheeks gently until all visible edges are diffused. For using on lips I line my lips with a matching shade ...

Stila Convertible Colors are around £23 (that's what I paid some months back, but they may have gone up by a pound or two since then). They are expensive, but worth it. As you only need to use the tiniest amount each time, they will last for a very long time!
I wouldn't say that they are 'truly all purpose' because they are only recommended for use on the cheeks and lips (they don't claim to be all purpose, but a 'two in ...

Advantages: Fast, simple, easy Disadvantages: price, but worth it in the long run
...I was standing in the Stila section with two other friends, when a flash of pink caught my eye. The compact is called Convertible Color, a product belonging to the brand Stila. This creamy cake could be taken for pressed powder were it not for it's unmistakeable creamy texture. What Convertible Color means is that you can ... ...main tool. Advantages: Lasts ages, blend for desired colour Disadvantages: Pricey but good investment, danger of coco the clown look if not careful
A smooth cream blush for definition of the cheeks (a bit like cake foundation), it comes in different shades so which ever suits you best. And i sometimes use mine on my eyes and lips in an emergency, it can be a little dry on the lips so i wouldn't do it every day but needs must!
It is pricey (£23!) but as it last such a long time its a case of future investment.
You need to get your blending technique right with this one so it fingers at the ... ...clown like at first but the great thing is that if you keep blending it will look fab.
You can define your cheek bones or add a rosy cheek look, and it lasts all day as its a cream.
The best thing i've found that if you want to take it everywhere with you to retouch or add more for an evening look theres no need for a brush (and we all know those silly little ones you get in powder brush conpacts are useless!). The packaging is really funky, a ...

Advantages: Great packaging, matte and sheer lipsticks, great range of colours, convenient, easy to use. Disadvantages: No nice smell to the lipsticks, runs out quite quickly.
how long it?ll take for other brands to copy this product.
Now Convertible Lip Colour hasn?t been on the market for that long but already it?s a popular product. It?s different and cute. It?s basically two different lipsticks at each end. One being a matte lipstick and the other being a sheer lipstick.
STILA*~
Stila was created by Jeanine Lobelle, a genius in my eyes! Her products are not only top quality, but the packaging happens to be the best ever packaging for make up I?ve ever seen. The products are girly, cute, fun and most of all original. Stila has come up with several different products which have then been copied by less fancy companies. Also Stila is extremely popular amongst celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Natalie Portman, Katie Holmes, Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz and loads more. It?s the brand the celebrities ...
Advantages: feels moisturizing, nice colours, nice packaging, convertible colour! Disadvantages: expensive if paying full price, wears off easily, quite small
I'm pretty new to Stila products this is only the second thing I have from them and the other is a lip glaze.
I had never heard of this item until I got an email from a website offering me it free! only paying postage which was £2.49.
Pretty good i thought so I logged on - there was a choice between Pink Bloom and Plum Bloom (kind of violet colour) so i chose the pink and waited anxiously for it to arrive.
When it did arrive It was in the trademark stila packaging - a brown cardboard box with a cute drawing of the lipstick on.
Opening it the whole lipstick is the silver stilacolour of most items with pink writing and pink flowers drawn all over it. It doesn't have any size indication on it. I would say the actual lipsticks are thinner and smaller than normal singular ones.
At one end of the stick there is "sheer" and the other ...
