I am really obsessed with make up products, I blow most of my wage on make up, sounds a little pathetic, but yeh I enjoy trying out loads of new beauty products especially if the product has lovely cute packaging.

The company is based in the USA. The company has been up and running for quite some time now. There are plenty of different Stila products. Stuff like lipsticks, eye shadows and they have alternative products such as eye sticks and lip glazes. They really do cater for all. Personally I think Stila cosmetics are aimed more at the younger market, as the packaging is fun and attractive. The maker of Stila said that she just made some make up for a friends beauty parlour and the rest is history. Her unique style and fashion sense made the company extremely popular.
I have noticed that Stila products are very, very popular with the stars. Celebrities such as Victoria Beckham, Gwyneth Paltrow, Neve Campbell, Kirsten Dunst, Natalie Portman and Katie Holmes love Stila products.
This lip-gloss is simply amazing. I have never tried a lip-gloss that has felt so silky before. I know that sounds kind of weird but the texture of this lip-gloss is just so good. That also makes it really easy to apply, as it just glides on to your lips no problem.
At first it looks like there is barely anything in the tube because it is so small but when you apply it, you realise you only need to use a tiny bit to get great coverage and shine. The shine that it gives to lips is just brilliant, I am very amazed at the shine it gives my lips.
For me the best way to apply this product is using a smooth, quality lip brush. I just sweep over the gloss and it glides over my lips giving brilliant shine. If you want to go for a natural look use this on its own because it gives a lovely smooth shine. If your going out to a party or something use it over your lipstick, it will give a magnificent shine and a really nice tint as well.
Another really good thing about this lip-gloss is the fact that it actually protects lips as well making them look fabulous. It's a great product to keep lips moisturised.
THE PACKAGING
Packaging is one of the most unique things about Stila products, there products are so good but their packaging is even better. The packaging of the lip-gloss is so chic and sophisticated. It comes in a small metal tube and looks so cute and very attractive. In a way it reminds me of a tube of paint. I love having this in my beauty bag and think it is great. It is so small you can carry it with you wherever you go, it would be great to keep in your purse in case you have to re-apply.
THE PRICE
Now this cost me £14. A lot of people would think that, that is ridiculously expensive but truthfully I think this product is worth every penny because it really is such a good product. Unlike most lip-glosses it is silky not sticky making it much easier to apply plus it looks after lips as well which is also a plus right. I bought the product from Space NK, which is a very pricey shop, but if you look around you might find it cheaper in other places.

At first I claimed it cost me £18, well that's what I thought, I had a look in my reciepts box and found it was only £14, whoops, sorry!
ADVANTAGES
I think a major advantage for this product is that it is silky and has a really nice texture to it. Most lip glosses that I have tried tend to be very sticky and hard to apply but this one is simple to apply and you can put it on evenly too. Another advantage for me is that you only use a tiny bit of the product so it does last for quite a while. Also the shine it gives to your lips is simply fantastic. You can use it over lipstick or on its own, either way you'll always look effortlessly chic.
DISADVANTAGES
Most would think that the price is quite a disadvantage and in a way it is. It’s the most I’ve ever spent on a tube of lip-gloss but I think it really is worth it because this product is genuinely a good one. I do tend to have a slight problem with the packaging, even though it looks good sometimes the tube leaks out and the top does not go on properly which can be inconvenient at times. The tube is very small mind, it is probably the smallest lip-gloss I own, but it's still cute!
OVERALL
Overall I have to say this is one of the best lip glosses I have ever tried because it is so different, texture and colour wise. It leaves your lips feeling shiny and moisturised. When I recommend this product I talk about the texture first because when you do feel how lovely it is you'll have to have it for yourself.
The price might be slightly off putting but you have to take into consideration that when you buy this product you are buying quality not just another lip gloss. Stila is quite established in America but still trying to make it here, I think it is a fantastic company and you should try this out.
This lip-gloss is available from many sites on the Internet and big department stores such as House of Fraser, also available in Space NK. I've only just noticed that Sephora stores exist in this country so if your lucky enough to have a Sephora pop in and have a look as it's just a Stila heaven!

...glossy mags each month about Stila Cosmetics I decided to treat myself to a couple of new products whilst in Space NK (beauty store) in Brighton (I'm a makeup shopping junkie!!)
Space NK seems to be one of those shops where 'it girls' shop, as the price lists aren't readily to hand and you feel slightly embarassed asking the price of each and every product you lay eye on. So amongst the purchased I made that day I bought the Stila Pocket Palette ... ...that I really only use one of the colours most of the time, and in reality I'd much prefer one of those twisty tube applicators with just one colour in.
From what I know stila products are found at all SpaceNK shops and are readily available on the internet. ...

This opinion is on stila lip gloss in peach.
It comes in a silver tube,rather like artist's paint,but you need a lip brush to apply it with - which it dosnt come with.
It gave a very pretty peach shine to the lips but the gloss didnt last all that long - just one glass of wineand it was gone.
If you apply it over your lipstck,the shine does seem to last a bit longer.
The one I use is in a peachy colour thats transparent and has tiny particals ... ...this Stila lip gloss from most department stores and larger Boots stores.
The little silver tube looks pretty in your make-up bag and is just the right size.
It costs £14 and the tube isnt all that big but I like the gloss.
I dont think I would buy another tube because I like trying out new lip glosses.

Stila are a fairly expensive but quirky range of cosmetics and have a much younger image than most of the established good quality ranges.
The alternative to the ‘Diazesque’ pen lip gloss (see my op – ‘Shiny, Happy Lips’), is Stila’s lip gloss in a tube. This comes in more traditional Stila packaging – a shiny metal tube with a simple description. Whie, again, this is small enough to be carried in your handbag ... ...gets damaged, you’ll end up with a sticky mess all over your jeans.
There is a wide range of colours available in these glosses in all conceivable shades of nude, re, brown, pink and purple, so you can really find your own ‘signature colour’. My preference is ‘Blush’, a pinky-red, which makes my lips look just ‘better than natural’. ...

Lip liner as an item of makeup tends to fall into my "not necessary" pile - I swear it's just a con by cosmetics companies to convince to buy more products we don't need (like I need any more convincing!)
