Advantages: Light with natural dewy, shimmer finish Disadvantages: Hard to find!
I have tried all sorts of foundations ranging from stick to liquid and trying to find the perfectfoundation has proved difficult over the past 15 years.
Finally about three years ago I accidentally came across Stila illuminating liquid foundation.
It was just by chance and the lady who helped me choose and apply I will be eternally grateful to.
The colour I use is '50 watts' .Price is around £27 per bottle. The liquid foundation is light and smooth and leaves the most natural finish with a slight shimmer, almost a dewy effect on the cheeks. The number of people who have complimented me on my skin and glow is unbelievable. The finish is so natural, leaving a very healthy look.
The down side to this product is that it is not easy to find. You can only buy Stila at Selfidges and Harrods, possibly Harvey Nichols. There are some ...
Advantages: SPF 10, stylish design, has lasted a while, not too greasy, practical (fits in bag) etc Disadvantages: Has cracked down the side (although hardly visible), quite expensive
, not too light and not too dark. I think this is the shade most people with pale skin will suit.
If you are looking for your perfectshade you can ask your representative to get you some samples of the different shades, they will come in sachets of each colour and only cost about 60p each. These samples are only available to buy from your representative's personal catalogue so you will have to go straight to them and ask for some when they next come round the houses.
I think they are available to buy online, but only for representatives.
Stylish Design
You can see in the picture I have provided (a shot from the Avon website) what the foundation stick looks like. It is black all over on the outside, except for a ring in the middle, which is silver, you can see from the picture the tube the actual foundation comes out of is ...
Advantages: Even Coverage Disadvantages: Expensive
Introduction
I am always on the lookout for a foundation which doesn't make me look like David Dickinson. I.e. bright orange. I never quite understood why the youth of today find it fashionable to paint there faces aluminous almost radioactive colours. Showing my age now so I will get to the point. I also have extremely sensitive skin so I have to narrow down the brands that I can buy as so many of these items bring me out in a rash. I was shopping in Boots recently and I discovered a range of products called stay perfect. I had a good look at the items on offer and discovered that the product comes in a variety of colours and not only that it was SPF15 so ideal for the summer months however it was also Hypo-allergenic.
The Packaging
This is part of the No7 range of products available at Boots. It comes in a glass bottle ...
