This vodka is a real, superb vodka. so far, i think right now, this brand is owned by an American Company, not a Russian company. the name however, clearly shows that it is indeed, 'very' Russian.

...will be a perfect mix. stolichnaya goes along with almost every drink that is available.
You can try :
Vodka with kahlua
Vodka with Whisky
Vodka with Pineapple Juice.
Vodka with Blue Curacao
this vodka not only comes in a standard bottle but also a cute 50ml bottle. i have one but the label is really torn badly,yellowish and it really looks classic, almost somewhat like from the 1970's....... ...from the store if you see it, but please, don;t overdo yourself and get drunk.

compared to the famous Absolut Vodka, i think this brand is much better. it has been rated before in the wine spectator megazine as one of the top 5 best vodka's in the world, and if i'm not mistaken, it's the best after world number one Grey Goose Vodka. (hopefully it is as far as i can recall)
well, about the vodka itself, it is clear transparent , strong smelling, medium bodied, very fragrant(some might say pungent) smelling. the bottle however looks classic, as if the labels havent been changed in years!!
this brand, although the contents are excellent, they should have promotedthe brand itself to a higher level, just like absolut. they should spend more on advertising so that it can be more famous.
this brand is generally good, just that it lacks the advertising around the world.
i recommend that this vodka should either be taken neat ( for first timers, this might taste a little like nail polish), but for vodka pros....this is a real good one. why not try it and let me know. it can be bought almost anywhere, but the quantity in the shops might be a little, due to less demands......anyway, it's cheaper than absolut vodka.
well, there's nothing much to say about the taste, as this drink isnt' like wine, there;s no bouquet, or in depth palate information. but however, it does have an average finish. try mixing it with juices and tonic. it will be a perfect mix. stolichnaya goes along with almost every drink that is available.

my last advice, grab all you can from the store if you see it, but please, don;t overdo yourself and get drunk. these are all from my own experience, and not copied n pasted like any other person giving comments on other drinks. more different opinions and infos can be found www.stoli.com i hope you arent underage...thanks..drink responsibly.
Advantages: Clean and non-hangover inducing Disadvantages: more expensive than brand vodka
Stolichnaya is a crisp, strong vodka, available in most supermarkets and offlicences and is worth investigation if you like the clear spirit. I recommend stolichnaya as being better than absolut and other "fashionable" vodka's - simply put - it just tastes better. Mixers are at the discretion of the drinker, I like the collision course that is stolichnaya and orange juice, but hey, that's just me. Stolichnaya is best consumed in moderation, i.e, ... ...am not condoning drinking Stolichnaya to excess, as we all know the resultant liver and brain damage that will give you. But consume it to a level you view to be enjoyable...
So enjoy...(in moderation if you are interested in looking after yourself, to excess if you are not). ...

Quick review of Stolichnaya Vodka
This used to be my favorite Vodka at the medium priced range but not anymore.
This may surprise you but this actually isn't authentic Russian Vodka. Ask any real Russian and they will tell you that this isn't a real Stoli.
Buy this in Russia to get the real thing, but in Canada at least it's not the real thing.
It's still not a bad vodka, but there are better ones out there. Has a bit of an unpleasant aftertaste, but not as bad as a Smirnoff.
Perhaps in the U.K. because you are closer you get the real thing. If so, this is a decent mid priced vodka ...

The following are layered cocktails – this never works but essentially the best way it to tilt the glass as you pour – the slower the better – never works for me.

for an hour or so and let the games begin.
You think that because the taste is somewhat more mellow than other vodkas ( Smirnoff, Stolichnaya for example) that you will not get drunk.
The grainy texture of this vodka is highly deceptive as it masks it's 40% ABV with more skill than Joan Collin's makeup.
The smell is sweeter than the usual whiff of nail polish remover that can be detected in own brand vodkas and the like.
~~~ Was it good for you, baby ~~~
The hangover you get the next day (if any) is much less acidic. I sometimes get 'vodka indigestion' (Copywrite) but I don't seem to get this awful revolution within my internal organs when Absolut is involved.
If you enjoyed the orginal why not be adventurous and sample the delights of:
Absolut Citron ( Lemon and Orange)
Absolut Kurant (Blackcurrant)
Absolut Mandarin ...
Advantages: Unusual - a great talking point Disadvantages: A bit scary...
reason with me while I clung to the bottle of Blavod as if it were the holy grail. "But it really will taste disgusting! We can't possibly drink a whole bottle of THAT!".
He gave in though. I can be quite persuasive. We got back to his place and cracked the bottle open, along with a crate of Red Bull and the aforementioned strange meat. The first drink was poured. We measured the Blavod into a glass, poured the Red Bull over the top, resulting in a rather disgusting-looking green concoction. I, naturally, was thrilled at this and started guzzling away.
The next part shocked me. It tasted like normal vodka. Not just cheap normal vodka, but good normal vodka. It was a lot easier on the pallette than your bog-standard Smirnoff or Vladivar - not quite up with the Stolichnayas and Grey Geese of the vodka world, but a definite cut above ...
