Review of SanDisk ImageMate 12-In-1 Memory Card Reader by
shoutie
Advantages: Well Made, Simple to Use, Durable, Reliable
Disadvantages: None that i have found yet
As a professional photographer i need to be able to transfer my images quickly, securely and reliably. Some of the images i work with can be extremly large so I cannot afford for errors in transfer or to lose images. The ImageMate is fantastis value for money firstly, coming with its own software and a handy little stand, it is tough and well made. Being 12 In 1 it will read nearly every card format avaliable and then some. The provided software ... ...self starts on the insertion of a media card. Alternatively you can just use windows explorer to drag and drop files to and from the media cards.
The setup process is as simple as it could be, just plug in the USB be lead and follow the simple set up instructions to install the small sized software package.
The stand holds the reader at an angle, leaving the face of the card reader easily accessible for the insertion of cards ans a simple LED light ...

A handy little gadget
Review of Sandisk MobileMate SD Plus by
Sparklemouse
Advantages: Lightweight, portable, slim
Disadvantages: Protective cap is a bit loose, cards could be vulnerable for the clumsy
I bought this card reader from amazon to speed up transfer of photos between my digital camera and my PC (saves the camera battery). I only used an SD card with the reader, so I cannot comment on the other formats. It is an attractive slim black USB stick with two slots that (the amazon website says) are compatible with the following formats:
MultiMediaCard, SD Memory Card, miniSD, RS-MMC, MultiMediaCardmobile, microSD, MultiMediaCardplus, SDHC ... ...a little skimpy, It was really easy to install on the PC, requiring no software (just put it in a USB slot & let your computer install it for you). Plugging in my SD card was quite simple (do this before you plug the reader into your PC!) but I did feel that the card looked quite vulnerable poking out the side of the reader (could be easy to knock or break?). Transfer of files was very easy & much less fiddly than a camera to PC transfer. Overall, ...

Plastic Magic
Review of SanDisk 6 in 1 PC Card Adapter by
donf18
Advantages: Saves lots of time and money
Disadvantages: They are a bit small and easily lost
...and de-merits, fortunately with the SanDisk 6 in 1 PC adaptor the missing link is filled in and everything can be interchanged swapped or whatever. The package contains six apparently simple pieces of plastic which can all change the standard cards into one device easily used by your PC.
The devices supported are SD cards, Multi-media cards, memory sticks, smart media, memory stick pro and xD picture card. Each of these cards has it individual piece ... ...highly respected in this field. Sandisk make a lot of the disk used in camera's and since they do not have control over the type of disk the camera manufacturer will use I guess it makes a lot of sense for them to have come up with such a good idea, and about time too. ...

USB Card Reader With Free 1GB SD Card
Review of Kingston MobileLite 9-in-1 Reader by
Surj1
Advantages: 9 in 1 card reader, 1GB SD card, Compact design
Disadvantages: None
The Kingston MobileLite 9-in-1 Card Reader is the only device you need to store, transfer and read data on any USB enabled device. As I use a variety of flash cards for mobile phone, digital camera and camcorder.
This card reader is designed with a USB 2.0 connector which is ideal to connect via you PC or laptop. It has memory expansion slots that support nine different types of SD and MMC flash memory cards. It also comes with a 1 GB SD memory ... ...year warranty
Overall the Kingston MobileLite 9-in-1 Card Reader is a very useful device if you have a variety of other devices which use media cards for storage. When in use the MobileLite shows as three drive letters G:, H:, I: and transferring data is simply drag and drop. I bought this from Ebay and got it very cheap for £5, it retails at around £20. This was a bargain as you can't even get a 1GB SD card for that price. Overall a decent and ...
