High quality, solidy built. Worth the money. Advantages: Solid build and good connectors. You get what you pay for. Cheap and reliable cdrs Advantages: cheap, reliable, work on a wide range of hifis Disadvantages: garish colour may put some people off Geeks cdrs are cheap and cheerful, coming in spindle packs of fifty or a hundred, which are available in most independent computer shops and cost around £6 for 50 and £9 or so for a hundred. You can also buy them on ebay for only a few pounds more. Such a low price would indicate that they may be of less than high quality, but in my experience they are perfectly suitable both for use as data disks and audio cds. Some audio cdrs are picky about which ... ...such problems with geeks disks, which appear to play perfectly on a wide range of audio systems. Having burned 30 or 40 cds I have only had one failure occur during the burning process (leading to one wasted cdr), and even then it wasn't clear whether this failure was due to the disk itself or to a computer error. It works! Advantages: value for money, kit includes all that is needed, deals with minor scratches well, easy to use Disadvantages: It will not deal with deep scratches (but then again it was not meant for these!) I recently bought this product as I wanted to take care of a number of scratched CDs that were misbehaving when I tried to use them (the CDs were mostly skipping although one of them would not even play) . I was unsure about the stuff but, given its relatively low price, I decided to give it a try. The kit itself arrived nicely packaged and contained a tube of (abrasive) paste, a small CD tray (the "work base"), 10 soft wipes, and some simple instructions. ... ...was to place the CD on the work base, shake the tube, add two drops of the paste on the surface of the CD, and then use one of the wipes all over it in straight-line movements from the centre to the edge of the CD. So, I picked one of my working CDs with minor scratches to give the thing a try. A king of removables Advantages: a great make, a very useful item Disadvantages: is a little bit flimsy ...card reader was made by Kingston and I am aware from past purchases that Kingston are a reliable manufacturer creating strong and highly effective removable storage devices. They also seem to have one of the greatest ranges of removable media from novelty memory sticks n the shape of Lego or a specific character, as well as memory sticks able to hold a lot of memory. The Kingston card reader is classed as a 'plug and play' device meaning it automatically opens and file transfer is fast and effective. The memory stick itself is small and compact.
