I have owned my cooker for 2 years. It has a number of features that I really like and a few things that I would change.
The thing I found most impressive was that despite being a gas cooker it has both semi automatic and automatic cooking mode. The semi auto allows you to set an end time for the main oven. This is a feature that my old cooker had but it also has the additional bonus of being able to set both the start and finish time whch I did not realise could be done with gas. The setup instructions are a little complex though.
I rarely use the top oven as it takes quite a while to get to temperature. It's main function for me is the grill which has varying heights but you cannot vary the heat. The design fault on the grill for me is that you cannot use it with the door shut. This makes it difficult to grill when my toddler is around and worse still, if the door is shut the gas is automatically cuts off but when opened again it comes back but does not ignite so there is potential for quite a nasty accident if you are not careful.
My other dislike is the knobs. One split after 14 months so I had to buy a new one at £11.75 which took 4 weeks to arrive and now another has split.
I would buy another Stoves cooker but only if they have improved the things I don't like

I am very disappointed with this cooker. When I had to replace my Cannon, which I loved, because it was so old that I couldn't get spare parts (and it was costing me £100 a time to get a mechanic) I chose this model because it looked more solid than the corresponding Cannon - especially the cover, and the numbers on the knobs seemed easier to read. It certainly looks good but the bottom oven is significantly smaller than the Cannon and there is less ... ...is about 2" too deep for the oven which indicates the loss of space.
My main complaint, however, is that the oven does not heat up beyond 220' even on No 9.and then takes ages to reduce the heat when turned down. This is extremely inconvenient to me as a bread-maker.
In addition, the burners on the hob are much too fierce. I have to use an additional plate to reduce the heat enough to simmer. Again, the old Cannon was dramatically more sensitive. ...

I purchased the stoves 61GDO over the internet after viewing the actual model in Comet. I wanted a good looking stainless steel cooker with two ovens and timer controls. Also wanted a zoned oven.
When cooker installed I turned on top oven and bottom oven to warm up. 15 minutes later opened bottom oven and found it was working OK. Opened top oven to put something in and at same time thought I might as well turn on the hob, pressed the ignition ... ...the bottom oven does not light automatically and has to be lit by pressing the ignition, so I had turned on the gas and it had built up for 15 minutes!!!!!
Then tried to set a higher temperature for the oven and discovered that the switch only turned round to number 6 for both top and bottom oven. Had engineer out and he tells me that this is the design. If you want to set the temperature controls on the oven you have to kneel on the floor to get ...

awfull cooker. the thermostat does not work after 6 months. every thing was burning on gas mark 2. the front burner has stopped working after a year. the knobs are plastic and melt so that you cannot use them. so you need to keep ordering new knobs.now the oven does not work. no gas comes through and no heat.. the worst cooker ever. waste of money.
