I would not recommend this cooker, my story is below but main faults I have found in 3 weeks of ownership:-
-No automatic ignition to top oven -Have to kneel on the floor to ensure you get the right temperature for both ovens as when standing up looking at dials they only go round to number 6 not number 9 -Minute mider does not tell you how long has gone only when total time elapsed. - temperature in oven could be 20 degrees higher or lower than what you have set using the dial.
I purchased the stoves 61GDO over the internet after viewing the actual model in Comet. I wanted a good looking stainless steel cooker with two ovens and timer controls. Also wanted a zoned oven.
When cooker installed I turned on top oven and bottom oven to warm up. 15 minutes later opened bottom oven and found it was working OK. Opened top oven to put something in and at same time thought I might as well turn on the hob, pressed the ignition and nearly blew myself up! The top oven unlike the bottom oven does not light automatically and has to be lit by pressing the ignition, so I had turned on the gas and it had built up for 15 minutes!!!!!
Then tried to set a higher temperature for the oven and discovered that the switch only turned round to number 6 for both top and bottom oven. Had engineer out and he tells me that this is the design. If you want to set the temperature controls on the oven you have to kneel on the floor to get to the right height so it looks like the dial does go round to number 9.
He tested the oven temperature at number 6 told me it should get to 200 degrees, at 15 minutes it got to 183/4 and at 30 minutes 194degrees. I was told this was acceptable as within 20 degrees either side !
