I am very disappointed with this cooker. When I had to replace my Cannon, which I loved, because it was so old that I couldn't get spare parts (and it was costing me £100 a time to get a mechanic) I chose this model because it looked more solid than the corresponding Cannon - especially the cover, and the numbers on the knobs seemed easier to read. It certainly looks good but the bottom oven is significantly smaller than the Cannon and there is less flexibility within it. The baking sheet from the Cannon is about 2" too deep for the oven which indicates the loss of space.
My main complaint, however, is that the oven does not heat up beyond 220' even on No 9.and then takes ages to reduce the heat when turned down. This is extremely inconvenient to me as a bread-maker.
In addition, the burners on the hob are much too fierce. I have to use an additional plate to reduce the heat enough to simmer. Again, the old Cannon was dramatically more sensitive. This is not a cheap item so I am depressed at having to live with these imperfections for a long time (my old cooker was fifteen years old).
It is satisfactory for someone who doesn't do much cooking but not for me.
