Disadvantages: Tinny poor quality

...I have had a stoves gas range cooker 1000 gds and have also suffered the dint in the door, the grill dries up the food so I dont use it, the control knobs get hot if the oven door is opened, the control knobs have worn out, the writing to indicate which ring to use has worn out, and the gas rings are rusty. I have a friend who has the same cooker and has had similar problems to mine she also doesn't use the grill. I contacted stoves and they arent interested. To replace the control knobs would cost me approx £60. I am comparing my Stove cooker to my previous cooker which cosmetically looked after 20 years as good as the day it was bought Don't buy a stoves appliance they're rubbish!!... Read review

Advantages: Looks nice in the shop

...Avoid all Stoves models, particularly their "range" style double ovens. I purchased the very similar 1000GDLSVS , 8 burner double oven model. Looked good in the shop, however the control knobs turned out to be made of cheap plastic covered in plastic silver/foil. The silver has peeled on every control knob in sharp shards revealing awful looking yellow plastic. The oven doors are difficult to close without slamming them and the grill and ovens are very difficult to light. The fan in the grill often blows the grill out - very annoying! Their customer service is terrible as they only advise that they'll sell spare controls via their website - but presumably the same cheap quality! Classic example of "rip off" - a brand name to avoid.... Read review

Advantages: Double oven, Split operation grill. Fan oven for faster cooking.
Disadvantages: Built in so very difficult to move

...I was recommended a Stoves oven by the guy who fitted out my kitchen a few yaers ago. The 720EF is a double oven with the lower oven being fan assisted and the upper, smaller oven being conventional. The Upper oven also doubles as a grill. The grill unit can be used on full or half mode which is quite a good energy saving feature. The larger fan assisted oven cooks faster than a conventional oven which again saves on energy. On the whole I have been satisfied with the performance of the oven as it has required very little in the way of servicing. My only reservation, which is not unique to this oven, is that being built in it is very difficult to do any work oneself, unless you happen to be an Olympic weight lifter.... Read review
