Consistently good quality wine, excellent value

Price can vary between retailers, beware.

I "discovered" Stowells wines when they offered them at my local Somerfield 3 bottles for £10. I chose 2 white (for the wife!) and a bottle of red for me which happened to be Tempranillo. I went back a bought a futher 3 bottles of just Tempranillo once I had finished the first bottle. Since then...

I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF SPANISH WINES FOR A LONG TIME AND HAD PREVIOUSLY FAVOURED THE SOFT FRUITY FLAVOUR OF A RIOJA, BUT I FIND THE COLOUR OF THIS WINE A LOVELY DEEP RED BUT IS NOT A HEAVY WINE IN FACT I WOULD SAY IT IS ON THE LIGHTER END OF THE SCALE. IT HAS A SMOOTH TEXTURE WITH SOFT TANNINGS...
