Wine critics and wine lovers alike have often ignored Rose and refused to take it as a serious wine. However recently there has been a renewed surge, in the UK especially and the Rose is finally losing its image as an inferior product. One of the reasons for this recent sucess is down to the wine companies such as blossom hill, Jacobs Creek and Stowells new approach to the rose, making it a more respectable drink.

This wine is no exception, Stowells is the UK's third best selling wine company as it has discovered a niche for high quality wines at affordable prices. The company itself has a range of wines that come from all over the world including, Chile, France and Australia. Meanwhile the white Zinfandel grapes are grown and nurtured in the mid and high valleys of California. This has led to a wine that is described by many as delightfully refreshing.

I agree with that statement and noticed alot of differences between it and many of its counterparts, firstly colour wise it has a much deeper shade of red than many others. Also it has a much smoother texture and this makes it very easy to drink. As you would expect with a rose it is sweet and fruity, however not as sweet as many others as it is not aiming at a young market for the purposes of getting said market tipsy, rather it is aimed at the older drinker, and I find this true as it is both my mothers and Grandmothers favourite rose.

In terms of serving, it is best served chilled however it is not spoiled when slightly warm and therefore is ideal for garden party's and generally should be served with snacks or as an after dinner drink rather than during main meals.

In terms of finding this all supermarkets retail it as well as a number of off-licences including odd bins and spar, and it is also available over the internet, in terms of price the company claims that it should be sold at £3.99 however I have found a number of retailers where the price is different.

Overall one of the better rose's on the market and definately worth a try for such a low price.
