I started using this site about two years ago as it was recommended by Company magazine as a great place to get cheap make up, perfume and other lotiony-potiony stuff. The prices can be excellent, and the site shows a comparison with UK and US recommended retail prices - these are normally fairly accurate as I have checked with my local Debenhams. The technical money stuff: Payment is made on a secure server, using a HSBC portal, for that bit of extra security. They are also an AOL certified merchant, which adds to your peace of mind. This is my first review so please be kind but comments would be appreciated for my next review! I was recently introduced to the Dermalogica skincare range (expensive!) and spend ages on the internet searching for the cheapest prices. I stumbled across Strawberrynet and found the prices far cheaper than anything else I'd found in the UK. Postage and packaging is also free and a signature is required upon delivery. Being the bargain hunter I am, Im always on the lookout to save a bob or 2!! I came across this site a couple of months ago, after looking on a search engine for cheap clinique products. I was sick of paying high street prices & dont go away enough to get them duty free. Type in strawberrynet into your browser and you're greeted by a bright purple page filled with information and adverts. I was first taken to the site by a price comparrison website, which I used because I was trying to locate the now hard to find Miss Dior perfume. Most places advertised the perfume at about £30, but strawberrynet only wanted £18! I thought this was a great bargain, so invenstigated further. I have used this site only when I could not find what I wanted on Island Trading. The Strawberry site only offers brand new boxed products. Therefore you get a better selection but more expensive, I have worked out that what you actually save is the VAT. So it's a little similar in prices to Duty Free at the airport. But please be warned of the implications that arise when ordering goods as they are based in Hong Kong which is not stipulated on the website. Because the goods are being imported via the post they have to fill in a customs document which comes with the package. If you are unlucky ... more
